As a family, we later chose to put $60,000 of the funds raised back into the coin as a way to show appreciation and long-term commitment to the community. We also used $20,000 to cover immediate and upcoming treatment bills. That relief alone meant everything to us. So knowing that couldn’t have happened without the $Grandma community, solidified our decision to double down on all of you. We’re still the same family, still facing roughly $350,000 worth of cancer treatment costs (more come in over time).
