Just two subs made in Friday's match between Kerry FC & Treaty United -- both by Kerry. That's the fewest in the First Division match since 27 October 2020, Wexford v. Longford. It is just the second time in Treaty United history that they did not make a sub in an LOI match.

@mcswanger @seidodge I do not track that sort of thing. I believe Opta would, so you could dig through all of the Soccerway match pages if you're interested. They're pretty good when it comes to basic match information in the Premier, though don't know how good they are with the more detailed stuff

Does anyone keep stats on most fouled player, or player who gets most opponents booked for fouls? I’d imagine Kian Leavy is up there? 5 lads booked for fouls on him from the Dundalk and Drogs games alone

@Dylan_McGlade Seems the LOI TV feed cut out for your first goal yesterday. For my records, would you mind confirming which foot it was scored with and from roughly how far out?

With Seanie Maguire also notching a treble against Kerry, today marks just the second time in League of Ireland history that two Cork clubs have had a hat trick scorer on either the same day or the same round of matches. The last time was January 1964 (Cork Hibs and Cork Celtic)

Dylan McGlade is just the second player in Cobh Ramblers history to score a first half hat trick in a League of Ireland match. The last was Dave Warren in October 2004 against Monaghan United -- en route to scoring a First Division record six goals that day.

Cork City have also taken three points tonight after trailing Kerry FC 0-2. I believe that the last time the Rebel Army managed this feat in a League of Ireland match was against Galway United in July 2008 -- with Kerry FC manager Colin Healy in the Cork City team that day.

I believe tonight marks the third time in Galway United history that they have trailed a match in the top flight by two goals and still came away victorious -- the last time being December 1987 against Shamrock Rovers. It is the first time that they have done it away from home.

David Hurley's opener for Galway United tonight was his first right-footed goal in the Premier Division...and not a bad way to get it. His last right-footed league goal came against Cobh in August 2023 in the First Division.

Wexford FC's Paul Martin repeated this feat last night against Jack Brady's Treaty United, with Brady also saving a penalty in the match. It is the first time that both sides in a First Division match have failed from the spot since Cabinteely v. Cobh in March 2018.
StattoLOI@StattoLOI

A word for Treaty United keeper Jack Brady, who recorded both an assist and a penalty save on Friday night. I do have record of this happening on one other occasion (since I started tracking assists), Ed McGinty having also managed both against Cork City on 24 October 2020.

@PGriffinFC @_forgottenfooty @KillianM2 If the truth, as you correctly put it, is half as bad as some of the rumours I've heard about that scumbag suggest, his posts on the internet will be the least of his worries. 100% in agreement on the sad state of a historic club as well. Dostoevsky put it best 150+ years ago:

@aob273 In the First Division, you've also got Seanie Maguire and Kieran Cooney playing this season. There were 8 full international who played in the second tier last season -- at one point, Kerry FC had three on the pitch in one match. So it isn't all that rare. x.com/StattoLOI/stat…

Rough night for Kerry FC, though they have set or equaled* a First Division record, as they featured three full internationals in their Starting XI. Galway United (98/99) & Sligo Rovers (2004) had 3 Barbados internationals in various XIs, but not sure when each was first capped.

@aob273 @CobhRamblersFC @BrayWanderers In the LOI in general, off the top of my head, Shamrock Rovers faced Derry City a few weeks ago, James McClean playing for Derry and Pico Lopes, Graham Burke, and Jack Byrne for Rovers...and there have definitely been a few others.

@StattoLOI @CobhRamblersFC have current senior Timor Leste int’l Claudio Osorio in the starting XI, if @BrayWanderers bring on John Bilili Sesay, a current Sierra Leone int’l. When is the last time two current full Int’l players faced each other in the MFD or LOI in general?

Of the eight goals scored in the Premier Division tonight, three came from the penalty spot (37.5%). That is the highest percentage in a round of Premier Division matches since Round 26 of the 2002/03 season, when only three goals were scored, two of them being penalties.

@Carlkelly123 @Kieran_B_Sport Takada never played for Drogheda. Akimoto and Kojima were signed by Cabinteely, but neither appeared in the LOI...though Kojima did appear in the LOI Cup. Sadly, Google probably hasn't figured out yet that Transfermarkt is complete rubbish.

@gerrytastic @RonanTheGreek @Kieran_B_Sport Takada is 100% a myth as far as I know, I've never found any evidence he actually was signed at Drogheda, much less that he played. Yuta Sasaki would be correct. I believe Tyrone McNelis was born in Japan too.
