🇵🇸 Will American Christians defend them? “We will never leave our church except when we return to our Lord in heaven.” A Melkite Catholic priest in Occupied Palestine ('Israel') speaks with defiance, insisting that his community will not abandon its holy site despite harassment and threats. “We are not leaving our church,” he repeats, addressing radical Israeli extremists who, he says, seek to intimidate Palestinian Christians. He declares that the church endowment will remain a Christian site “from now until eternity,” rejecting attempts to pressure the community off its land. His remarks come as Palestinian Christians living under Israeli occupation report vandalism of churches and monasteries, harassment of clergy, and repeated attacks by Israeli colonial settlers.
