JUST FOR THE SAKE OF DISCUSSION
Say the Sabres traded the 4th pick to Toronto for Matthew Knies. I feel like that will anger a lot of fans, But here me out.
The Sabres essentially will have traded Bryam & Greenway for Knies, Pick 45 and Crevier.
Does that sound better?
@PatrickMoranTB You find 1000 dollars on the ground. You then spend that 1000 on a cheeseburger.
Isn’t it like getting a free cheeseburger? And a free cheeseburger is good right?
I always support athletes getting paid as much as possible. Their window is so small.
Good for #Sabres on holding firm on their value for Tuch + even getting something for him.
But I’ll reiterate - relying solely on young internal talent to replace Tuch would be mistake.
@FriedgeHNIC As a Sabres fan I like Tuch but he isnt ever living up to the contract hes getting. Even at 9 or 9.5 I didnt think he'd live up to that but I was okay with it.
Buffalo GM Jarmo Kekalainen said “Alex Tuch will be missed,” but the Sabres are moving on from the talented winger.
He added they will look at a sign-and-trade, with multiple sources indicating Washington as the favourite
@sportstalkmatt My mom loved vegas but it used to be cheap there, even food was given away. They wanted you in to gamble. Now that its not a thing, everything is expensive and my moms generation could care less to go back.
I'm really afraid for the future of Las Vegas:
Las Vegas suffered a decline in total visitors of 7.5% in 2025, the worst in a non-pandemic year since 1970. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there was a decline of 27,000 hospitality jobs last month.
Not a good day for our Buffalo Sabres.
The Tkachuk trade is a tone setter, Florida wants to make everyone aware they can still be top dog in the Atlantic.
Ottawa now has enough ammo to make a significant addition to replace Tkachuk
Jarmo needs to be up for this arms race.
Tkachuk makes Florida a borderline super team…
But I think you now have 3 teams you can feel somewhat confident will not be as competitive in the division with OTT, TOR, and DET. The top of the division is going to be TOUGH but you may have less at the bottom to worry about.
I’ve been thinking about John Carlson as a possible stop gap to fill a Bowen Bryram sized hole in the Sabres D corps until a longer-term solution presents itself….
@CMDeDominicis Having the unprecedented time off between rounds 2 and 3 was huge for them. (Some of it earned) but they cant start a series early ever again
@SteveHolcomb7@AdamSchefter@JordanRaanan Even a small percentage difference means actual players' careers and livelihoods are being altered. When you have the billions to fix it, any higher risk is unacceptable.
@Skhentwa@AdamSchefter@JordanRaanan A study on this was done already. In 4 years 91 on turf and 58 on grass. Rate per game is 0.111 on grass ans 0.132 turf. The rate is higher but not ridiculous I guess? I think anything that can be done to reduce these should be done though.
@AdamSchefter@JordanRaanan So they can do it for a month of soccer, but when their own million dollar franchise QBs are tearing ACLs on turf, suddenly 'it’s too expensive'?
@Buffalo_Smitty I agree this app can be toxic, im not seeing what you're seeing. But sometimes I start replying to people to argue and realize there is a mute and block option. This saves my sanity on this. 😀
@Coolmaccags56@DaveMyersBIB I only mention head to head in this circumstance because those games at the end were key in who was going to win the division. 4 point swings if its a regulation win
@SteveHolcomb7@DaveMyersBIB Yeah, I mean I definitely see your argument. I wasn’t arguing against Ruff, I was just making the case for Cooper. I don’t think head to head should really matter as it’s a season long race where both teams had the same number of wins. Coop was missing more significant pieces 1/2
Dear @FOXSports,
No one is watching this game to see who is in the stands. Literally no one cares what celebrities are at this match
Sincerely,
Everyone
