Many major startup product launches now pay influencers to promote them.
I get pitches to do it all the time.
Nobody ever says they were sponsored but they clearly are. Many are likely in violation of FTC rules.

No, Anthropic launching AI agents that would replace hundreds of SaaS tools isn't the biggest news this month. This below is the biggest fucking news of the month. And maybe of the year. Bland just bought Soulja Boy’s voice so that anyone call him using their AI. Oh and apparently any business can use his voice to answer their phone calls. You can now declare the call center industry - a 100B industry in 2024 - dead! With a single stroke. I don't know if I should be excited - or terrified.
