Josephine came in via a vet from a vehicle collision, she’s still in pain after a hit to the head but is settling in nicely. She just shows that all animals, dangerous and or large, deserve respect and care! Using a calm approach, she is not defensive! Can’t wait for her release!

A few weeks ago I wrote about a South Carolina woman who had been arrested for a miscarriage. I was lambasted with comments about how it was a stillbirth, how she was a horrible mother etc. Today we found out it was an 18 week loss & she DID go to the hospital for care🧵

Now we need action to stem the rise of benzimidazole resistance in both human and dog hookworms! We need drug stewardship before the widespread drug resistance seen in dogs of Canada, America, India and Australia is common-stead in human 💊. Thanks to my supervisor @JanSlapeta

Our lab previously identified that there is a threshold of ~ 75% of the population containing mutants to observed clinical resistance (lack of hook development), but until now there was no causative studies on these mutations in human hooks 🧵 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

This was a hated snake described to me only with expletives but she is more than that, she is a smart inquisitive python carrying suffering from all her past injuries which are sketchy at best! She is perfect with me!

Harrowing. At least 100 children are reported killed or injured every day in #Gaza, since the strikes resumed (on 18 March) according to @UNICEF Young lives cut short in a war not of children’s making. Since the war began 1.5 years ago, 15,000 children were reportedly killed. The ceasefire at the beginning of the year gave Gaza’s children a chance to survive & be children. The resumption of the war is again robbing them of their childhood. The war has turned Gaza into a “no land” for children. This is a stain on our common humanity. Nothing justifies the killing of children wherever they are. Resume the #ceasefirenow

Why is support always required? You never know what is going on. My case - every mention of ptsd by me is psychosis. Now ptsd accepted, treated with a med that makes me a zombie. Then got told I’m imagining most of my ptsd 🧵
