Kendrick Lamar taking so long to drop albums is NORMAL. Artists work on an album, promote and tour the album for another year, and then we expect them to drop new material with a new sound right after that. They haven't had time to live any new experiences... This is why Roddy Ricch's second album fell flat, he did experience some new stuff but it was unrelatable to the majority of his audience with the first album. The only way that rappers at the top of the game are able to consistently release music at an (expected) pace is if: 1) They have writers 2) They don't tour The rappers that fall into #1 are: - Drake - Travis Scott The rapper(s) that fall into #2 are: - YoungBoy - 21 Savage
