Believe former #StockportCounty midfielder Odin Bailey is set for a move to Championship side Portsmouth. Bailey left Edgeley Park following the expiration of his County deal this summer. Had interest from Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City and others.

@StuHope74 @_SByrne Played well when on loan and then the last 6 months of his contract, the 18 months in between were average at best. He’s ok but with a fit and firing Bate he’d be a bench player for us. Was far more upset at losing Knoyle and Sarc in recent seasons.

Jimmy McNulty is the new #StockportCounty Head Coach. Believe the now former Rochdale boss was always the only real serious candidate for the job and signs a three-year deal. The former County defender, part of the 2008 League Two promotion-winning side, says he wants to play "a brand of football that the fans love." McNulty: "To go full circle and return to County all these years on feels incredible. Some opportunities feel like they're meant to be. There's so much alignment and connection here for me, so there’s amazing pride for me and my family." County owner Mark Stott: "From our very first meeting, it was clear that Jimmy's vision for the team aligns closely with our own, and I’m excited to see that vision come to life at Edgeley Park." No announcement expected today but Rochdale boss and former County defender Jim McNulty looks set to replace Dave Challinor at Edgeley Park. Took Rochdale back into the EFL this season via the National League play-offs after amassing 106 points. #StockportCounty

It's felt a little inevitable in the last few days but I believe Dave Challinor will indeed be leaving #StockportCounty. Speaking for myself, it'll always be hard to replace a serial winner - whether that's in the form of league titles or securing play-off places as a minimum. Challinor will depart as the man who got County back into the EFL, with two league titles to his name. Two play-off final appearances, a Trophy final appearance and one play-off semi-final finish. Successive third place finishes in League One, and has never finished below fourth in five years with the club. A campaign of real adversity (with injuries etc) at times for club and manager, but both now look set for a fresh start. More to follow in the coming days.
