1 for the @Absolutemtb1 community. Full finger “summer” gloves. Always used Endura but after 3 pairs where the seams have given up way too easily it’s time for a change. I know 100% get a good rep for winter gloves, any good summer options or any other suggestions for warm use?

Went for a bike ride, decided to stop and faff and take a picture, partially after a previous conversation with @Absolutemtb1 Turns out my camera technique is as bad as my hopping technique. Work needed on both.

@Hotwheels_1978 @UKCycleChat Just ditch the baggy shorts. Don’t know you, never met you, but can tell you it will be alright and if anyone passes a comment it says a massive amount about them so not your problem. You’ll be all good. 👍

Wondering if riding in the bib shorts on the road bike and no baggies will give me an advantage in the same way aero wheels would….which would give me the biggest advantage… @UKCycleChat

Today I’ve been to the gym dropped my lad off & walked to the shops. Cut the front hedge back (no jokes you lot!) Painted the fence and am considering mowing the lawn. What happened to going to the beer garden & getting drunk on a bank hol 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 at least the sun is out…kinda 😎🤙

@Absolutemtb1 Hardly any miles, but did finally grow a pair and did some of this. Helping out at a kids cycling club and decided I just need to start doing it as well. As a self proclaimed “wheels on ground” rider I’m very happy I did not die!

What a waste of a weekend for me. I drank too much Friday and Saturday night & have just spent the days lazing around feeling rough. The sun is out & I should’ve been out riding! 🤬 I hope you’ve all had a good weekend? Let’s see your riding pics 😎🤙

@adameaa24 I had some similar noises last few weeks and eventually got to it being the chainring. Was aftermarket 1 fitted a couple of years ago. Fitted original and noise gone. Had already tried chain, jockey wheels, pedals and bottom bracket.

That’s my roadie understanding anyway. Is a 1x with fat cassettes different rules? Looks like I should’ve change at like 0.5, or is something else wrong?

1 for the @Absolutemtb1 crowd. Noticed last few rides my top 3-4 gears are super noisy, I figured it was the lube getting washed off but Sunday it was AWFUL. Looking closer tonight and chain is like this! Wear tool has just barely hit .75 which in my understanding is change time?

@Absolutemtb1 Ah, sounds like I just need to up my camera prep and setup game. Gloves off, phone out of pocket, see if it’s a serious message from the wife or just a TikTok, put phone against something, stand it back up, loop round and do “cool stunt”, pick up phone, gloves on, drink, ride…

@StuartCann This took me about a minute mate, what’s a minute on the ride? It was at the drop in to a DH run, so didn’t really affect the flow or whatever of the ride 😎🤙

@Hotwheels_1978 I went straight on to their site in the hope of picking up mech hangers for the 2 Vitus’ in the shed. I was unjustifiably fuming to see them at normal price. Still ordered them as couldn’t risk it. Might add some “just in case” stuff later.

Is it really bad that I’ve got a wiggle basket built in the hope it reduces in price before the end…

@Absolutemtb1 Super late and barely relevant, but I’m asking anyway. Valves when using tubeless sealant, how do people clean them up when they get clogged with sealant? To answer your question, this weekend I made a shoe rack for the shed. (A bike shoe rack to be clear)

@Absolutemtb1 The boy’s Nucleus turned up last week on the 30 day thing, luckily it fits and he likes it as we’re probably committed to it now.

Most people would like to win the lottery. What’s your primary motivation? If you can’t guess mine I clearly haven’t made myself clear enough - I want to ride my bikes more, in more places.

@MTBTalk Tyres and guards on MTB, just guards on road bike. Usually end of September. Other “service” tasks are as needed.

@CarbonToe @Absolutemtb1 @MTBTalk The subscription thing is weird for GoPro, but I was even contemplating 2nd hand so possibly not relevant. As the battery is replaceable I figured it should be lowish risk? The 2/3 prong mount for DJI is the same as GoPro? I have a bunch of mounts and stuff already.

@StuartCann @Absolutemtb1 @MTBTalk Have a look at DJI’s cameras. Loads of choices. I’ve heard that the latest Osmo Action 4 is more reliable than the current GoPro and no subscription.

Right, action cams. Is GoPro really worth the money? Got an Amazon job currently which does well but no good on water as needs the case (lose audio).Any native waterproof options out there that people use on bike that could also be handy for general stuff? @MTBTalk @Absolutemtb1
