Yrs 3-6 programmed our BBC micro:bit mini computers. It was fantastic to meet such an enthusiastic school with so many talented future programmers! We can offer these classes to all schools across North Lincolnshire. Please get in touch if you would like more information.

We had a brilliant day at Belton All Saints CofE Primary last week, supporting them with their STEM week. We spent the whole day at school working with years 1-6, with an introduction to programming. Yrs 1 & 2 completed a Scratch Junior dance party on our iPads @NorthLincsCNews

Even more importantly, he spoke candidly about his journey with dyslexia, helping the students truly understand and embrace neurological differences. Legend! 🙌

We had two new Dads attend the session & one Dad had never even been to the stadium. He ended up buying match tickets for him & his sons and staying on for their first ever @SUFCOfficial game, which is amazing!  Our next Dads Together group is on Sat 25th April. See you there!

Dads Together group on Saturday 14th March was a great success as ever, with 14 Dads & 18 children. We had fun making Easter cards and nests, the children also enjoyed coding the Sphero robots. @NorthLincsCNews @SUFCOfficial @NorthLincsFIS

The children also got to choose their World Book Day book with thanks to the National Literacy Trust for these. Our next session is on Saturday 14th March, the @SUFCOfficial Community Day where we play Altrincham. Look forward to seeing you there!

We were checking the Dads blood pressures too after our Healthy Hearts Ambassador training. The children had lots of fun decorating pancakes, making Mother's day cards, exploring the play dough, dinosaurs and Lego.

What a fabulous busy Dads Together group on Sat with 10 Dads & 18 children! We had a visit from Oli Rose and Harry Shipstone from @SUFCOfficial thank you guys for coming to see us. We also had a visit from Pat Melillo to talk all things teeth. @NorthLincsCNews

On this Sat for male carers & their children aged 0-16 yrs. We have pancake decorating, making Mother’s Day cards, Lego, playdough & much more. We have Pat Melillo (Community & Oral Health promoter) coming along & @SUFCOfficial players too. Come see Sarah and Jo @NorthLincsCNews

Each participant put their imagination to the test to create a story in Lego form which was then turned into a comic and printed off on the iPads. We can't wait to do it all again at Easter! @NorthLincsCNews @PActivitiesNL

Last Tue & Wed we welcomed 40 young people to the centre for our exciting Limitless Lego activities. The 2-hour long sessions included warm up Lego challenges, a Lego Minifigure stadium and creating our own stories using our Story Teller Lego sets and iPad software. @SUFCOfficial

Year 5 Reading Stars had a wonderful time meeting Brian Laws. They listened to him talk about his career and made a fantasy football team using book characters, considering what characteristics would be useful for the different football positions.@StTipler @StudyUnitedFC

Brian shared with the pupils why reading has been so important to him throughout his career; from comics inspiring him as a boy, to reading for research and motivating him to overcome injury and become a manager - proving that the power of football goes far beyond the pitch!

Thank you to Kyle and Kian for giving up your time to come and speak to us! We then continued our tour of the stadium. We headed off into the Home changing room, gym and medical suite, talking about the many different football careers available.

Interviewing players in a studio is a nerve-wracking task and all of our pupils did a fantastic job quizzing they players about the players career and time at Scunthorpe. After the interviews we had time for some Chris Karmara style match reporting
