It is literally a rich kids sport in America...almost all of the USA player are from affluent backgrounds...for our population we produce absolutely nothing...MLS is expanding to a ridiculous 32 teams with no relegation and the quality is barley League One...Almost no college player is good enough to play internationally...

Been following soccer in the USA for nearly 20 years and never seen the quality of player coming out of MLS academies that we are seeing now. Sure, debate 'youth soccer' and college etc but the players are coming through the academies and they look pretty good.
