Minister Without Portfolio. A title that translates roughly to "we needed to give you a job but couldn't think of anything you were actually qualified to do." Lost Redcar in 2019, the first time it ever fell to the Tories. Blamed Corbyn, naturally. It is always someone else's fault with you, isn't it, Anna? The electorate were simply too stupid to understand your brilliance. Or perhaps they noticed that while you were busy being a "moderate," their steelworks were closing and their town was dying. But 2024. A comeback. Selected in an open contest after the previous candidate mysteriously stood aside. How thrilling. And now here you are, tweeting about poverty from your lobbying firm credentials. Arden Strategies. Associate Director. A lobbying firm, Anna? Really? Defence contractors. Oil giants. The revolving door spins so fast one could generate electricity from it. You took that job after losing your seat, of course. Dignified unemployment is for the little people. The Betting and Gaming Council too. Gambling firms, Anna. While your former constituents struggle with addiction and debt, you were advising the bookies on how to navigate Westminster. The house always wins, and you made sure they knew which MPs to invite to the box at Ascot. The libel case, though. £75,000 from Unite. You sued a union for calling you dishonest. The judge found for you on a technicality. But the substance, Anna. The substance remains. Now you are Chair of the Labour Party. Minister Without Portfolio. Without purpose. Without principle. Without, one suspects, much longer in the job. Redcar deserves better. But then, Redcar has already told you that once.

Just to remind these same folk: You’ve not lifted 1/2m kids out of poverty. You’ve just moved them over a bureaucratic line on a Whitehall spreadsheet. Your ‘workers rights’ are destroying entry-level jobs, hitting young people disproportionately, where unemployment is now over 16%. You have not transformed the NHS. It’s still the same old wheezing leviathan, just with a lot more dosh and still dismal productivity. And you’ve nationalised steel and rail before. It was not the prelude to an economic or industrial miracle. Plus you will now have to include their demands for capital/subsidies among all the other priorities already crowding in on the public purse. Other than that your reminder was useful. Thank you.
Anna Turley MP@annaturley

Just to remind some folk that is nothing ‘timid’ about a Labour government lifting half a million kids out of poverty, the biggest uplift of workers rights in a generation, giving millions of people a pay rise, transforming the NHS, nationalising the steel industry & our railways

Watching and listening to mainstream media this morning, you can almost feel the frisson of excitement at Andy Burnham's victory. It's undoubtedly a huge win but supposedly politically neutral presenters are oozing with delight at the prospect of him being PM. Just like they did with Keir Starmer. It's going to be hilarious watching him fail to live up to their hopes.

Britain’s churches now suffer more than 10 crimes every single day. The latest figures show nearly 4,000 offences last year theft, vandalism, burglary, violence. Yet £117 million has been found for mosque security, our churches which are the backbone of British history and heritage are left vulnerable. Britain’s churches helped build this nation. Why are we allowing them to be neglected and targeted, we can’t close our eyes to this anymore like the politicians do.

Due to the Sentencing Act 2026, Arshid Hussain – the man who abducted and raped me as a child, and who did the same to dozens of other children – is being considered for early release. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison in early 2017 and was described as one of the most dangerous men in the UK. He was later convicted of further offences. His brother, Basharat Hussain, is also being considered for release. I honestly can’t put into words how disgusted I am with the British government.

A timely reminder that based on the standards Labour set in 2022, if Andy Burnham becomes PM via a leadership election, a General Election should be called. If Andy Burnham is crowned PM, a General Election should be called. We have the receipts ready.

Funny how Cameron Thomas, the Lib Dem MP under police investigation and barred from the Commons, is the same man who blamed Elon Musk for grooming gangs and slapped his own face behind Robert Jenrick. Seems about right for a Liberal Democrat.

🚨 A single mum was terrorised in her home by immigrants living next door UK Police did nothing about the incidents, they threatened to arrest the mum for 'inciting racial hatred' if she went to the press She contacted me to shine a light on her case, I put a post out on X and they arrested me, confiscated my phone and put me on strict bail conditions for 3 months This is what you call two-tier policing in the UK

Starmer is so delusional. He still babbles on about Reform instead of holding up his hands and resigning. He seriously still sees himself as the man to lead Labour into the next election! Clown.

“Trans women cannot be held in female prisons, court rules” . Males who identify as something other than a man are still, & will always be, male. It is down to men to make safe space for them in sport, bathrooms, changing rooms as well as prisons. telegraph.co.uk/gift/0c2e614f1…

@myhiddenvalue Muslim hypocrisy Homosexuals are to be killed without exception...... but also sex with Bacha boys is fine and completely socially acceptable. In fact let's get the whole crew together and watch them dance before the sex begins. Definately not gay for men to have sex with boys!!

INCEST LEGALIZED. At the request of the Muslim lobby, Keir Starmer legalized in the United Kingdom marriages between first cousins An appeal from one of the deputies to Starmer: — Mr. Starmer, do you understand what you are doing? This carries catastrophic health risks for people, many of which can not be determined until the child is born. If this practice continues from generation to generation, the English people will disappear.” Starmer: — Yes. I have already stated my position.

Germany took in millions of refugees in the name of tolerance. Now a German girl can't walk her dog through parts of her own city without causing a scene. These Islamists are so afraid of a single dog that one girl on a walk sent them into a panic. Watch the video. Then ask yourself who is actually being tolerant of whom. 👇

Who is distressed by our flags? Suggest they find a country where they feel more comfortable. Shame on Oxfordshire council for not sticking up for the patriotic majority. @UnitaryOxon

Oxfordshire has become the first council to start a legal battle to ban residents from raising Union and St George flags on or near public highways due to the "distress" they cause. dailysceptic.org/2026/06/18/oxf…
