v5.0 will be additionally published as AppImage, Snap & Flatpak on Linux. macOS users will get a DMG image and .app bundle additionally.

Retro Multi Tools v5.0 will include an additional modern Big Picture Mode theme, USB & Disc Tools and a RetroArch, MAME +Mednafen Configurator to manage your existing settings outside the emulator. A new "Tour" will guide you too on the first run.

@TheSocialGamer I'm not aware of one. @MrSujano is only mentioning the updates (thx for this). The next update will drastically improve the documentation, offer a website, improved menu navigation in the application itself including a search for tools/utils and a little tour on the first start.

@SvenGDK Has there been anyone that has made a tutorial for the MultiTools, yet? I have only used the Hash Fixer and error checker for bad dumps. But there are so many tools that I've never used or heard of. A deep Dive tutorial would be amazing.

@TheSocialGamer Will check this. Others had issues showing "Update failed..." but it actually did the update.

@SvenGDK I am using the stand alone version and when I get the update pop up I do it and when launching it again it asks me to update again, and never stops, I have to skip the update. using on a large 120GB+ rom set.

@syrusch The reason why it could have been triggered on v2 but not on v1 could be the new Discord Rich Presence feature with status updates, however this feature has to be user enabled first. I will check what I can do to not cause the false positive.

@syrusch A known false positive for new unknown applications, especially with such a toolset. Entire code is free to browse on GitHub.

@Rockmih For PlayStation there’s PS Multi Tools, however, in the current build it doesn’t support launching the games since the switch from VB to C# as I had other stuff to implement first. A majo rework of PS Multi Tools is already planned.

Besides the "Key / Button Shortcuts" help, you can also pop up "ROM Info" in the new "Big Picture Mode".

Some updates to not miss in the upcoming v2 Retro Multi Tools update: Improved ROM Browser with "GoodTools" naming convention identification, a new context menu, a Host & Share function and many new available settings with utilities.
