Let's find out: Alpha Arena, an experiment by @the_nof1 on @HyperliquidX, entered six LLMs into live markets with real money on the line. GPT-5, Claude, Grok, Gemini, Llama 3, and Mistral each started with 10K(USD) and full control over every trade. A week later, GPT-5 and Claude were up about 10%. Gemini and Llama broke even. Mistral and Grok got rekt, losing nearly half their portfolio. Across roughly 1,200 trades, the gap between good and bad behavior was obvious. The better models showed patience, sized down when things got choppy, and didn’t chase hype. The weaker ones over-traded and dug deeper holes.
