There was a machete attack Friday night at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria. Pictures of the alleged assailants below. Here is what we know so far. A group of "10 young men" allegedly prowled the park following people and pulled a knife on some women separated from their main friend group, asking them to come with them. The women managed to rejoin their friend group but were followed, with an attacker reportedly pulling out a machete and swinging. In the chaos three were injured, but the attackers were driven off. One woman suffered a head injury. A guy needed surgery for a deep cut on his hand. Some of the victims bravely chased down the suspects and tackled one of them. Police were able to make two arrests, but let's hope they are able to round up the rest of the group. Beacon Hill is a beautiful park dating to the 1800s, with ponds, ducks, peacocks, and a petting zoo. This kind of savagery belongs in the third world, not Canada.
