A massive thank you to our 149th president, Professor Michael Gill, for supporting us throughout the year!

Our 149th Inaugural Ball was held on the 5th of April, with Prof Joe Harbison as our guest speaker! We had a wonderful evening celebrating the academic awards winners, presenting the Medday beneficiaries with all the proceeds made AND reflecting on the great year Biosoc has had!

Last Monday, we were incredibly fortunate to have Professor Clíona Ní Cheallaigh join us in celebration of International Women’s Day! Huge thank you to Prof for joining us and discussing important topics like the significance of Inclusion Medicine, a speciality she pioneered!

Thank you again to everyone who joined us, to the artists, to the @RHAGallery who hosted the exhibition and to Prof James Meaney, without whom none of this would have been possible!

And the People’s Prize, in which the crowd voted for their favourite, went to Columb Kavanagh with his wonderful painting “The Swallowed Spectrum” !

On the 19th of February we hosted our annual Medicine through the Arts event and we’re delighted to say that it was a huge success once more! Thank you to everyone who made it and to all the artists! The judges had a really hard time choosing winners!

To enter, email us a short description of your submission and a digital copy/photo of your piece (if applicable) to biosoc@csc.tcd.ie. Please include your name and year in your submission, or specify if you would like to remain anonymous. Then on the day, bring your piece along!

There’s so much talent amongst med students so we encourage anyone with even a hint of talent to enter. There will be some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Medicine Through The Arts is making its return in early February (date tbc) 🎨 This is an annual event which showcases artwork submitted by Trinity medical students . All art forms are welcome!! Previous submissions have included paintings, sculptures, poems, and animations!

We’re delighted to bring back our annual Biosoc Christmas Pantomime tonight. This year we have chosen @DublinRCC as our beneficiary and have raised almost €500 for the cause To learn more about the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre or to donate please visit drcc.ie
