@maxtempers I really don't understand this ridiculous argument. I always thought the mantra was "equal pay for equal work". Well, it's not the same work, is it?

The largest supermarket in Britain, that operates on razor-thin margins, is about to be crushed for the crime of paying different jobs different salaries, while our legislature shrugs.
How dare they suggest that “so-called market rates” can exist in Soviet Britain.

@owenjonesjourno This is just asinine. No, kicking someone in the head isn't protocol. Of course it isn't. But in the moment, the officers had to subdue the threat. They took the actions they thought were necessary. That should be the end of it.
English

Hold on - what?
If police officers think someone might be carrying explosives, protocol is to kick them in the head repeatedly like this?
Is that actual police protocol?
If so, how is it a wise police protocol?
Can someone explain the reasoning?

.@KamaliMelbourne: 'The video of the Golders Green terror attack arrest shows the officers kicking this individual in the head. Is that appropriate force to use?' Met Police Commissioner: "In most situations it wouldn't be reasonable, but in that situation it was reasonable."

@PolitlcsUK @DailyMail So you are telling me that this decision was not made because of a sincere belief that teenagers should be voting, but instead a tactical move to secure more votes? Wow unbelievable.

@Kingbingo_ @HistoryBro1 This is now my favourite explanation of photon energy.

@HistoryBro1 You could also think about it as a hot girl in a nightclub. She doesn't have a purse or even pockets, she still gets drinks all night despite having no money. Its just the natural flow of things and couldn't be otherwise.

@GodLogic_GL His loss would not have hit nearly as hard if it weren't for his constant arrogance during the debate. What a sore loser.

@Kev_OC66 @PolitlcsUK And yet military leaders are still saying there is a £28bn shortfall. Lord Robertson, who the government appointed to do the SDR, is saying the government is dragging their heels on defence. They still haven't published their defence investment plan. Sounds like a struggle to me.
