Asalatu has done more to propagate the deen than all the 'programmes' of its detractors. Asalatu gave us Fountain and Crescent universities too. Halqah can never organically give us anything on that scale, as it's too splintered, priding itself on its lack of organisation.

Am I open about my atheistic stance or religious criticism all over Nigeria? Mubarak Bala was jailed right here in Nigeria. Deborah was lynched. Do you think irreligious Nigerians are free to do what they like all over the country? Besides, Tehran is a city of over 10 million people. It has luxury districts and uptown areas. They have malls and nightlife, I watched several videos of one of their fashion districts; it's more sophisticated than anything you have in Lagos, and it also has a growing secular population. There is a Christian population, and they even have a Jewish community. This is what I always tell you, Taiwo, stop viewing these countries through caricatured lenses. You’d be shocked if you visited them or really examined them. They are not the gloomy, caricatured narratives you have been fed.
