SPC tornado outlook story: My two cents here. The atmosphere is VERY complicated folks. And even with all of the computing power and human forecasting experience, a prediction about a future event is occasionally going to be wrong. With that said, the perception that 'forecasts are wrong all the time' is just a memory from a long time ago when they WERE wrong most of the time. That's NOT the case today. Will more data collection help SPC and local forecasts get even better? For sure! But the forecasts are already really good most of the time right now.

@TonyPannWBAL My man, Tony. I’m a VERY amateur weather watcher who knows and is trained on the basics of meteorology. If I ever win the Lotto, I’m going to enroll at Oklahoma and get the knowledge I want. But. BUT. You’ve got to admit; the budget cuts to NOAA and NWS have hurt the accuracy.
