I am so in love 🥰

As a recovering person and clinician working with addicts/alcoholics and/or those suffering with mental illness, I often reflect on stigma for those groups. Stigma most certainly damaged my self-esteem and increased my shame. How do others see this issue> Please chime in!

Here we are in a New Year. As we consider change know there will be obstacles and setbacks. Under stress we often revert back to the old pattern/behavior. Commitment is the key. Never give up! Move forward no matter what!

I constantly stress self-care to my clients. Most of the people I work with are addicts/alcoholics with trauma who struggle to get adequate sleep, good nutrition or exercise. Good self-care leads to better relationships, enhanced moods and increased productivity!

@emmett_tuite @markwright087 I can't stress fitness as a tool in recovery enough! Personally I can't imagine recovery without it, professionally I see clients helped tremendously by it. There are numerous studies that confirm it. Move your body!
