Study of 18 atypical parathyroid adenomas showed mutations in MEN1, PIK3CA, and CASR but not CDC73. There were no recurrences after short-term followup. This supports the theory that atypical parathyroid adenomas are predominantly benign. ja.ma/45OyZVy
