In case you didn't know - TYPO3-rector already has reached its version 2.5.0 release with more to come since the 2.0.0 release in february IMHO the release page speaks for itself and the huge amount of time invested along with a great community code sprint github.com/sabbelasichon/…

At first i was a little bit disappointed in myself, because i felt like i could not deliver the rector value i want until the new TYPO3 release due to some health and motivation issues in the last weeks. But i just checked: we have close to 40 migration rules ready - so have fun!

Do you love Attributes in PHP as much as i do? In TYPO3 12 you can use Extbase Attributes instead of our beloved annotations. Let TYPO3-Rector do the work for you: github.com/sabbelasichon/…

Today we're preparing further for the v12 release: Reading all core changelogs transformed into over 130 issues (😵‍💫) and check them for possible migrations to provide and help all of you.

Today I updated a #TYPO3 project from version 10 to 11 and updated the code from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.1 in a few hours. Thanks to @TYPO3Rector! TYPO3-Rector is really helpful, also when it does not do all code changes properly. I had only a few lines of code to adjust on my own.

To #typo3 community is there a rector rule to change "typo3/cms-core": "^10.4", to "typo3/cms-core": "^11.5", or "typo3/cms-core": "^10.4 || ^11.5", or a step by step guide to add a rule like this ? @TYPO3Rector

@wahnsinn @xitnelat Hi - i confirm: you can e.g. check #removeconfigdoctypeswitchrector" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/sabbelasichon/… In case you miss a rule you can maybe create one for your own case or create an issue (we might provide them as experimental or something)

@Tangomuc not a step by step, but the general contribution docs github.com/sabbelasichon/… Other than that it's kinda best practice to check left and right for similar rector rules like the one you want to create. That often is extremely helpful - you can describe what you need here

@TYPO3Rector Thanks for answering. So I was not dreaming, as I saw some configuration with pupular extensions you mentioned. And is there any step by step instruction to add any other own rule?
