I grew up by the pacific crest trail in CA High desert. Used to take girls near the trailhead on “dates”. One night after the deed, I saw something inexplicable in the sky. Went to wake her, it was gone. Told her and forgot. Next night when we came back for another round, the area was quarantined. They set a barricade of boulder along the highway so no one could enter from the road overnight. And exactly where I was parked that night, they had erected a 40x40ish fence probably 10 feet high. On the corners they put solar powered panels all pointed towards the center where, I shit you not, they put a black box wrapped in some sort of plastic sealant. They also had put up a sign saying the land was claimed by the US government for a Native American monument. Claiming the black box was the monument…but they NEVER unveiled it, it was erected spring-summer 2019. I went by a few months ago on my way to visit my mother…still sealed so 7 years and still not unveiled. I looked it up and they added it to the city webpage in 2021…but they don’t even show the “monument” they cropped it out of every photo 😂. They only show the street side plaque a few hundred feet away. But you can see the cordoned off fenced area in the background. You can probably still see it yourself, in person, it’s just past Hesperia lake.
