@staysaasy Well said. Also, a lot of uncertainty now. Employees are leaving jobs at historically low rates. AI is automating tasks. Really no pressure to increase salaries.

What’s crazy to me is how blindsided people always are by the other shoe dropping. The biggest sign that layoffs are about to happen is 2-4 years ago people bragging about how much people were getting paid. 2021: industry brags about comp -> 2022: layoffs begin 2025: meta brags about AI salaries -> 2026: layoffs begin 2006: people brag about $ in real estate -> GFC happens The minute the money gets crazy, the time starts for somebody losing their job.
