Minnesota/Wisconsin Weather
Check out the nice wide swath of significant RAIN that fell over much of MN over the last 24 hours. Some areas just west of Rochester measured over 2.00"+ of liquid.

Strong T-Storms with Damaging Winds will be a Risk each day next week especially in the evening hours so people should monitor updated Weather Conditions.    Right Now the 4th of July looks Muggy but not as Hot with highs in the mid to upper 80s during the day and Partly Cloudy Skies then around 80 Degrees with Partly Cloudy Skies for 10 p.m. Fireworks. @KSTP

Summer surges in with a vengeance next week. So, make sure you are prepared for a hot & sweaty start to July. Meanwhile, the potential for some serious T'Storm activity increases with the heat. Here is your extended outlook.

I'm keeping a close eye on a large chunk of MN as conditions remain favorable for strong T'Storm development. I'm not expecting a widespread severe weather outbreak, but there appears no doubt that some storms will get feisty between 2pm - 10pm today.

Heat wave expected next week with multiple days of heat indices around 100 degrees and above for a large area. It shouldn't last that long though as mid-latitude ridging breaks down rather quickly later next week.

Elevated risk of severe weather is anticipated on Saturday across the Dakotas, where very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are likely. This looks like a very dynamic storm system that could lead to significant tornadoes. Get ready, folks!

We have been chasing the most violent storms on earth together for over 25 years. Now, we are bringing the ultimate intercept to the BIG SCREEN. 🌪️🎥 I am beyond excited to announce that NEVER STOP CHASING is hitting theaters nationwide on August 21! Huge thanks to Deadline for breaking the news this morning. You can read the exclusive announcement and watch the full official trailer here: deadline.com/2026/06/reed-t… Directed by my longtime chase partner Ken Cole, this documentary takes you directly inside the bear's cage. We mastered the entire film in Dolby Vision and immersive Dolby Atmos sound so you can actually feel the roar of a massive wedge tornado right in your theater seat. This is the real deal, and I can't wait for you to experience it with us. Check out neverstopchasingfilm.com for updates and theater info! #NeverStopChasing #StormChasing #Dominator #Tornado#Dominator #Tornado

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and kind words. You can never be too careful, especially when driving in or near storms. Always be aware of your surroundings and drive carefully, especially on unfamiliar dirt roads at night.

The pattern will undergo a transition to hotter and more humid conditions next week. Highs may reach the 90s. With dew points in the 70s, it'll feel closer to 100. These conditions may continue through early July. #mnwx #wiwx

TORNADO TALLEY: Wild to see the ranks so far this year. Illinois is already at its most active year on record, we are not even in July yet. Florida has more tornadoes than Tennessee in 2026. Super strong El Nino setting in this summer should continue to drive tornado days in the upper-Midwest. If the super strong El Nino holds into the upcoming winter, the headline of this graphic will likely be the southeast/Florida later this year.
