Funny one, it’s not like he’s a banker for a shot on target but at that price you can’t not take it. • 4 goals in 6 EPL matches this season • Shot on target vs Liverpool, Wolves, Spurs & Leeds • Usually plays full 90 It’s worth backing if you can. 18+, gamble responsibly.

✅ All over it. • Avg 2.33 shots P90 • Avg 1 on target P90 ⚡️ Boosted 1.4 to 2.0 for a shot on target tonight vs Fulham. Load: bit.ly/Semenyo-boost Join Sky Bet, back this Boost and get £40 Free Bets: bit.ly/Get-40-Free 18+, T&Cs Apply. Ad.

@LarcombePeter @YNWAUK80 @tgariley @_janey_j I agree. There are two main factors with DNAR: 1. Likelihood of CPR being successful 2. A return to an acceptable quality of life If the medical team feel both of the above are unlikely then it’s not in patient’s interests to undergo an undignified chaotic process post-death

My poor dad taken into hospital again with a chest infection - A bitch NHS Dr told me she’s putting a DNR on him after telling me she wanted to intubate and ventilate him. She was warned not to do that, give him the anti biotics and treat him. She said the consultant will make the decision tomorrow. How fucking dare they. 😡Scared to leave my dad alone as these scumbags simply cannot be trusted. Praying my dad makes it through this 😢🙏🏼

The distinct smell of a distant class action if this is confirmed

UPDATE: Anonymous message from @LancsHospitals staff member The physician associate had a twice weekly elective c-section list with an O&G consultant "They started just assisting but quickly moved onto doing the sections with the consultant supervising" Unbelievable if true 🤯

@TandAlates @LarcombePeter @cmwilliams99 @medicalmodelbri I completed a 30 credit module in Anatomy and physiology as a first year UG in forensic Biology. It was woefully and fundamentally different to my first two years of GEM, covering ~ 10 - 15 hours per week of lectures/lab/medical imaging. A 30 credit module cannot compare.

Another day and the PA is still arguing with the Consultant Anaesthetist . Imagine having to actually work and supervise these people It isn’t work it folks … x.com/larcombepeter/…
@medicalmodelwithabriochebun@medicalmodelbri

After this horrific BURN yesterday …. This person continues to double down instead of deleting their X account in disgrace. @DrPhilBanfield please read the whole thread, these people can’t be taught , have no insight , overconfident . This causes harm and death . @EduMed_UK

@suemidd58863059 @TandAlates @cmwilliams99 @medicalmodelbri I’ve done 10s of 1000s of LPs. The idea that I’ve done any of them without ‘much thought’ is beyond facile. Each & every time I push a spinal needle I am wholly focussed on what I’m doing. Because at the other end of the needle is someone else’s central nervous system.

@LarcombePeter @cmwilliams99 @medicalmodelbri And absolutely it will be different, but for the sake of an LP, could it be imagined that the PA may have the same understand of anatomy, as that of an fresh faced F1? To then be taught as a postgraduate under guidance by someone more senior how to the procedure?

@LarcombePeter @cmwilliams99 @medicalmodelbri I would assume your next point is it’s not enough anatomy to do a LP? I’d counter by asking is it that different from the preclinical section of an MBBS?

@TandAlates @LarcombePeter @cmwilliams99 @medicalmodelbri If you honestly think that an LP can be done “without too much thought given experience” then you really haven’t got the faintest idea of what a complex procedure it is and how catastrophic getting it wrong can be for a patient.

@medicalmodelbri @DrPhilBanfield @EduMed_UK The point stands. You can enter the conversation with as much experience and you can do as many as hominem attacks as you like. Why can’t PAs be safely taught bedside procedures understanding the anatomy, physiology, complications - initially in a supervised way then independent
