@coachwes_23 I do partially blame the previous 247 rating analysis for how little Colorado players got recruited. He would almost never give a kid a 4⭐ or even a high 3⭐. Other states have tons. The new rating analysis at least seems to be giving better ratings. Hope it helps these kids.

What ruined high school recruiting isn’t the transfer portal or NIL, it’s the snake oil that 247Sports, Rivals, & On3 have managed to fool y’all into believing it’s the gospel for recruiting. The sheer number of people who believe the only way to determine a player’s value is by stars is wild. A 30 For 30 should be done on how those brands built a matrix and managed to plug everyone into it without the masses realizing. Kudos to them for building their brands, but shame on y’all for being fooled by it.

What a wild finish to that Cherry Creek-Valor game. Valor had the ball inside the 5-yard line with a few seconds remaining and down by seven. Cherry Creek strip sacks QB Titus Huard on the final play to punch a ticket to its 8th straight championship game. Heck of an effort by Valor just falls short.

@CJCain7 @coachwes_23 Exactly. I have talked to players from different schools and many got very little help from their coaches to get them to the next level. One kid even told me that he actually got help from a rival coach to get him into the college he is at now. So do what it takes.

One of my biggest issues when it comes to hearing complaints about high school kids being recruited by other high school programs is one that rarely gets acknowledge which is the players and their parents are choosing the program. If you build it, they will come. The coach who’s built a reputation for winning championships and producing top college to NFL talent isn’t going and recruiting kids, the kids and their parents are seeking ways to join that team. Why aren’t they choosing yours and what can you do to be an enticing option?

@coachwes_23 I don't understand why some schools like Cherry Creek went from broadcasting on YouTube to putting the same content on NFHS that people would have to pay for. And for what reason did CHSAA make a deal with NFHS to have all of the playoff games?

@JakeDNVR Its wild how little talent comes out of state. Some studs sure but volume is so low. The metro Nashville area probably has more 4 and 5 stars than all of Colorado. One of the huge reasons its tough to recruit.

Colorado offers 2027 four-star iOL Jackson Roper from Cherry Creek High School. Roper is the 257th overall player and 13th-ranked iOL in the 2027 class. He is the top-ranked 2027 recruit from the state of Colorado.
