GOVERNOR KEFAS COMMISSION N3 BILLION NAIR ROAD PROJECT The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has officially commissioned the 5-kilometre Ibi–Nwonyo road, a project executed under his administration to improve infrastructure and boost economic activities in the area.

Mamman criticized the state’s slow development, blaming poor governance & lack of infrastructure, especially roads. He promised to focus on key areas like agriculture, education, security, and the economy, stressing that strong leadership is needed to unlock Taraba’s potential.

Police probe mob killing, urge calm in Taraba community The Taraba State Police Command has launched a full scale investigation into a violent incident in Lau local government council that left two men dead, including a forest guard.

Abdulrahman Imam has been remanded to Jalingo Correctional Center until Friday, 17th April, 2026.

Yesterday, Governor Agbu Kefas officially flagged off the construction of the 35km Zing–Yakoko, Monkin–Lama road project. He promised the residents that the project would be executed with strong emphasis on quality and durability.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Political Matters and Special Duties, Josiah Sabo Kente, on Friday in Jalingo, the government described the claims as “false, baseless, and misleading,” insisting that no such commitments have been made by the governor.

Taraba Govt Debunks Claims of Automatic Tickets, Says No Favouritism from Gov. Kefas The Taraba State Government has dismissed widespread rumours alleging that Governor Agbu Kefas has granted automatic tickets to certain political aspirants ahead of general elections.

The contractor handling the Katsina-Ala-Takum road had paid over N50 million ransom to rescue some of the workers who were kidnapped at their duty post.

The Federal Government has attributed the delay in the construction and completion of the 78.62km Katsina-Ala Takum road to the high level of insecurity in the area.
