This is absolutely shameful and cannot be tolerated. Israel is a country where there is freedom of religion, and if the State of Israel truly protects freedom of religion, it cannot allow this - not in Israel and not in battle be it in Southern Lebanon or anywhere else. Christians are the number one friends of Israel, including Christians in Lebanon that oppose Hezbollah. I strongly condemn this. This does not represent the values on which our nation was built on. I'm glad that the IDF condemned this too and promised to help the community in Southern Lebanon to restore the statue. Let this mistake serve as an opportunity to deepen the ties between the State of Israel and the Christians in Lebanon. 🇱🇧🇮🇱
