My opinion on opinions: Purpose: expanding the mind. Finding new questions to ask. Its strange that we use them as fact/truth. In your life, have you had experiences that led to your choices? Did it make sense to you why you made them? Imagine if… everyone else also did too.

Weird take: all STEM & Business undergrad and grad majors have to dedicate one semester to take a philosophy course that requires a creative project. And it has to be the only class they have that semester.

@PeterSinger I was thinking of the alien argument. Bees and plants. A truly symbiotic relationship. If there’s some evidence that shows otherwise on this relationship, then the idea of that. Creating energy source (food) from non living excess, while benefiting the other species/ecosystem.

It’s weird we watch inefficient, non sensical and non beneficial systems of *insert fundamental human need here* play out. With compliant participation.

There are so many studies comparing human nature to primate nature and state somehow that’s telling of our innate tendencies. Humans evolved to an advanced species only because we overcame primate behavior through collaborative systems that iterated on themselves.

Do any other people feel like they need to dumb themselves down in interviews? What do you do when the person you’d be reporting to is asking questions that reveal they know less about a topic than you do?

Can you pass the Calendar Test? If you replied with a screenshot of your calendar below, would I be able to guess your priorities? If yes, your time is aligned with your goals. If no, your time might need to be rejiggered.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the younger generation eventually makes the decisions. Maybe listen to their ideas, you might avoid a whole generational rift and everyone could… idk learn something from each other ?

Banning Tiktok is government censorship, no? Also, I’ve noticed “evidence” is just pointed questions. There is a lack of substance and lack of facts, but the words used insinuate wrongdoing. Its called framing and its a psychological advertising tactic.

I recently learned that freelancers pay self employment tax and income tax on their pay. If you do independent contract work for a company they don’t pay taxes on your wages you pay self employment tax and income tax on what they pay you.
