Spot the sequence boundary. Ridiculous stratal architecture given that Maltese carbonates are interpreted as simple ramp deposits. This cliff is over 100m high.

@Geowalks Impressive folding and deformation for glacial!

Rock section is about 5 metres long and the left hand edge is crumpled. You can see the till better in this shot. Yellow limestone is about 30cm thick.

Well this is a cool new exposure we found today at Belhaven near Dunbar (due to recent coastal erosion). Yellow & grey layers are Carboniferous sedimentary rocks. But they have glacial till underneath so this is a rock raft moved by ice. I think! Nice raised beach deposit on top.

My grandpa who is 85 started making this rock map of Scotland in 1992.He collected rocks during amateur geology trips over 30 years. He says it had to be geologically correct and also aesthetically pleasing.He asked if I could share online as He wants to go viral so please share
