@nffcalways1 @Reggie8jb Also we’ve only been a category 1 academy since 2021 I believe, and we got promoted in the 21/22 season.

@Reggie8jb Nothing to worry about, if you look at the last few windows we added to the talent pool with some highly rated youngsters, obviously it’s a different level now in the PL but we’ll get there

Something not spoken about for a while is just how little is coming through our Academy these days. We must be very low in the Prem league for talent. Was always an important part of what made us. Hopefully this is something being worked on. #NFFC

@adamsummerton I think that when there is such a dramatic shift stylistically from Nuno to Ange, not having a pre-season is massive.
Going from defending behind the ball to defending against the ball is always going to take time.

Nuno’s excellent work had accelerated Forest’s progress by a couple of years.
But that, to an extent, changed the manager’s job, required different skills, and with Nuno’s stock as high as it was I got why they went their separate ways - even though the timing was terrible. Whose fault that was is open to debate.
He wouldn’t have been on my list of replacements, but I could see AP ticked certain boxes, although the style of play and whether the players bought in was critical to whether it worked.
What he’s trying to do, succeeding a successful manager with no pre-season, and several new signings to integrate is very, very difficult and requires good man-management, pragmatism and versatility.
I felt some stylistic sacrifices were needed from AP - at least in the short term - to maximise the skill-sets of the players and implement change/evolve the style gradually - a managed transition. There should be no need to rush.
Too much, too quickly after such certainty & consistency is bound to lead to disruption, and now there’s the danger it runs out of control to a point of no return. Newcastle is very big

@Legendof1983 @StokeyyG2 Also want to mention that I didn’t see the on the pitch incident against Leicester as an issue personally.
Just saw it as frustrations were high due to the performance/how the game ended with Taiwo.
But other people might say different.

@Legendof1983 @StokeyyG2 No, you’re right I wouldn’t work in those conditions. But if it was so constant why did he sign a new three year deal in June?
I saw no issues between the two of them until the public criticisms from Nuno, then all different things came to light.

@premierleague I’ll tell you which one I’m not excited for.

Nottingham Forest to decide whether to stick with or sack Ange Postecoglou NEXT WEEK
I pray you are correct for once Tom! dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…
English

@69Sassole @StokeyyG2 If this is all to do with Edu, why couldn’t they settle their differences behind the scenes?
Why did Nuno have to publicly voice his frustrations?
It was the public disrespect that got Nuno the sack IMO.

I just don’t know.
I don’t know whats just happened,
I don’t know why the players have now forgotten how to defend set pieces and I don’t know who we would get in if we were to sack Ange.
Going home very concerned and confused.

@CallumCastel7 Morato, please prove me wrong.
Savona was the logical replacement but may have a knock or more simply Ange might think Savona can’t match his intensity yet. Who knows.
Leaving Morato 1v1 against a tricky winger doesn’t make me feel great though.

English

@AgeofAnge Tactically it would maybe make more sense. But to keep his morale high surely Igor has to play given his display against Betis.

@EuropaLeague @NFFC This sentence is going to be re-written after tonights game.
I can feel it.

@KieranCallum29_ Now that I’ve seen Savona is training. Think it’s highly likely that he plays two games on the spin. Put Murillo next to him to come across if needed. Hopefully Sav has learnt to not let the ball drop because against their wingers that could be bad as they will press.

With us playing Newcastle at the weekend,I would put Murillo LB he will handle Elanga pace for sure, morato hasn’t done too badly at cb

Mixed injury news from #nffc ahead of tomorrow's Europa League game against Midtjylland. Murillo is back in the squad, but Alex Zinchenko misses out with a groin injury. It's expected he'll also miss the weekend trip to Newcastle.
English

@NffcHarryy And, I also hope that if it doesn’t work out for Ange (even though I’m hoping it does), we don’t get scared by this style of play and then go and appoint and manager with a counter attacking style again.
Stay attack minded, much more enjoyable.

English

@NffcHarryy Yep, agree with you. I work all week to then go and be entertained at the football.

@nffcalways1 @Nesto25 Thinking about it, if Savona isn’t fit maybe Ange goes with a back 3 because FCM did this in their last game in the danish league. Then we use right and left midfielders instead of fullbacks. But then Boly would probably play. Decisions decisions.
#NFFC
English

@nffcalways1 @Nesto25 Logic would say Savona would come in but don’t know how fit he is and Ange might want Morato to still play there as he is getting used to the intensity. But really don’t want to see that.
