Cannabis Compound Cannabidiol Triggers Cancer Cell Death in Glioblastoma - brain cancer! 'In this study, we looked at how CBD fights cancer. CBD increases the production of harmful oxygen molecules (ROS) and activates a cell signal (ERK). It also changes how cells handle waste (autophagy) and a type of cell death called ferroptosis. CBD also blocks a protein (SLC7A11) that cells use to import amino acids and boosts another protein (TFRC) that helps with iron uptake. Medical cannabis cuts depression scores cut in half! Average depression score dropped from 6.9 (moderately severe) at the start → to 3.8 (much milder) after 18 weeks. This improvement was big and very unlikely due to chance. Half the patients (50.8%) had at least a 50% reduction in their depression score — considered a meaningful response. In this real-world group, medical cannabis was generally well-tolerated. Patients reported a clear and meaningful drop in depression severity over the 18 weeks. Link in the comments 👇
