Aika's Tragedy in Sherry's Timeline Most people know Aika as a noble, humble woman willing to sacrifice everything for others. However, in Sherry's timeline, there existed a very different version of her. The differences began even before her birth. In that reality, Aika never inherited the Amateratsu Curse. Her power came solely from the blood of the Greens, an ancient and nearly extinct Saiyan clan whose members were known for possessing extraordinary combat talent. Without that dark burden hanging over her shoulders, her life followed a completely different path. Her father never abandoned his career as a warrior, and her mother became one of the most respected doctors of her era. Because of this, Aika grew up surrounded by comfort, privilege, and opportunities that other versions of herself never had. That upbringing shaped a different personality. She remained a kind-hearted woman who genuinely wanted to help others, but she was also proud, competitive, and fully aware of her own worth. She enjoyed recognition, public attention, and the admiration she received for both her accomplishments and her beauty. She was not cruel, but she was more arrogant and ambitious than the Aika most people knew. She joined the Time Patrol after helping Trunks and Shiro during a battle against a Time Breaker. Impressed by her abilities, Trunks personally recommended her to join the organization alongside Ren and Yummi. As the years passed, she became one of the most famous Time Patrollers in Conton City. That timeline also altered the destinies of several people close to her. Ryoko eventually married Nioh, building a family together after years of friendship and shared adventures. Yummi ended up marrying Ren. Despite all the hardships they faced throughout their lives, they remained together. Shiro also found happiness alongside a human woman who respected and valued him for who he was, something he had always longed for. As for Aika, she gradually grew closer to James. The brilliant doctor earned her admiration because he reminded her of her mother. What began as a friendship founded on mutual respect eventually blossomed into love. In time, they married and built a family together. They had two children. Josep, the eldest. And Sherry, the youngest. For the first few years, everything seemed perfect. Or at least it appeared that way from the outside. Aika's fame continued to grow. Her missions were celebrated across countless galaxies, she appeared in interviews, and she was regarded as a hero by millions. However, when she became a mother, much of that life was suddenly placed on hold. While James spent long hours treating patients, Aika remained at home caring for their children. She loved them with all her heart. There was never any doubt about that. But she also felt a growing frustration deep inside herself. She wanted to return to missions. She wanted to write her memoirs. She wanted to appear in interviews. She wanted to continue building the legacy she had worked so hard to create. That frustration slowly turned into arguments. More frequent. More intense. At night, Sherry and Josep could hear the shouting from their bedrooms. Josep, still just a child, would often try to distract his little sister so she would not have to listen to their parents fighting. He was not always successful. Eventually, they hired a nanny to care for the children. The solution seemed perfect. Aika gradually returned to her career. She accepted missions again. She returned to the public spotlight. She felt free once more. But the problems within the marriage never disappeared. Aika complained that James was never home. James would respond that too many people depended on him. He never made excuses. He simply apologized. Because it was true. He spent very little time at home. Even so, whenever he returned, he always found the strength to dedicate time to his children. No matter how exhausted he was, he never stopped being a loving father. Meanwhile, Aika began working with a manager who handled her growing public image. At first, their relationship was strictly professional. Then it became a friendship. And eventually something more. James noticed how close they had become, but he chose to trust her. Aika insisted there was nothing to worry about. Yet little by little, she crossed boundaries she never should have crossed. Until the inevitable happened. One day, believing she was alone at home, she allowed her manager to visit. Sherry was at preschool. But Josep had returned home early because classes had been canceled. No one had informed her. And no one realized he was there. The boy heard strange sounds coming from one of the rooms. Driven by curiosity, he approached. And discovered the truth. He saw his mother being unfaithful. Josep's world shattered in an instant. He ran to his room in tears. Aika discovered him shortly afterward. She immediately forced the manager out of the house and tried to talk to her son. She tried to explain. She tried to make things right. But some wounds cannot be undone. Sooner or later, James learned the truth. Aika wanted to apologize. She wanted to explain her mistakes. She wanted to repair the damage. Yet even she could not fully understand why she had made choices that destroyed the very thing she loved most. And with the truth came a word that began haunting the entire family. Divorce. Sherry did not fully understand what it meant. She only knew it was something terrible. Something that could separate the two people she loved most in the universe. She did not want to choose between her mother and her father. She did not want to lose their family days. She did not want to lose their trips to the park. She did not want to lose the games, the laughter, and the happiness they shared. She wanted everything to go back to the way it used to be. But fate never gave them that chance. Just as Aika and James were preparing to sit down with their children and discuss the future of their family, tragedy struck Conton City. Asmadeus attacked. The destruction was immediate. Brutal. Unstoppable. Thousands died that day. Among the victims were Aika and James. Both died before they could resolve their differences. Before they could apologize. Before they could explain what was happening to their children. Before they could say goodbye. When it was finally over, Sherry and Josep were found among the few survivors by Yummi, who rescued them from the devastation. From that day forward, the wounds never truly healed. As an adult, Sherry knows the entire truth about her parents. She knows her mother made mistakes that helped destroy their family. And because of that, she harbors resentment toward her. Yet she also misses her. Because despite everything, Aika was still her mother. And what hurts the most is not the betrayal. It is the fact that Asmadeus stole away her chance to speak with her one last time. The chance to hear an explanation. The chance to forgive. Or even the chance to say goodbye. That is why, whenever Sherry thinks about Aika, she is overwhelmed by conflicting emotions. Love and resentment. Nostalgia and disappointment. Sadness and anger. Because the woman who helped break her family apart was also the woman who comforted her when she was afraid, who played with her during her childhood, and who loved her during the earliest years of her life. And now, unable to obtain answers from someone who no longer exists, Sherry carries a wound that may never truly heal.
