@HashionDiscord @TayMinimal The C’tan where weird star eating spirits that where captured in metal bodies. How is that comparable to the Light and Dark?
Also why do you say Chaos is sentient? Where does it say that?
English

@TheCorridor_ @TayMinimal Chaos as a whole is, its how they're defined.
Light and Dark sound closer to C'tan whom the emperor has sealed before
English

@HashionDiscord @TayMinimal Chaos isn’t sentient unless you are talking about the gods but even then they are just a reflection of consciousness. The light and dark in destiny are sentient parts of the universe that necessarily have to exist.
English

@TayMinimal @TheCorridor_ Chaos is also sentient. I don't see why it can't just be stolen or nulled like I get no one in destiny has really done it but that wouldn't mean anything in crossverse.
As it stands the emperor just powernulls the light
English

@HashionDiscord No the warp isn’t, it is directly affected by mentality and emotion. The dark and light however exist as universal constants and the warp isn’t. The warp is very much within the confines of causality, just not a physical causality.
English

@TheCorridor_ Why can't he, you aren't giving an actual reason
What do you think paracausality means, the warp is already beyond all extents and forms of time and causality.
English

@AlienPegasus455 @HashionDiscord @TwinkLit42 There is an Easter egg in the imperial palace raid where you have to play the flute and play a game of golf that leads to clues about an ARG for an exotic submachine gun
English

@TheCorridor_ @HashionDiscord @TwinkLit42 The guardians would hear they can get cool looking armor and a nice gun from killing the emperor and they solo the entire verse within the day
English

@HashionDiscord The Emperor cannot Power null the light, nor could he really control it, the entire point is that it’s something that can’t really be controlled. The paracausality and struggle od the light and the dark of destiny is a universal constant, warp fuckery requires consciousness.
English

@TheCorridor_ I dont think either are true, plasma pistols in halo have a terrrible stated energy values. The Emperor would just power null the light or steal it
English

@HashionDiscord They don’t have terrible stated energy values, they are just not at the level of ridiculous plasma that is small star level, they are more than capable of disabling machinery. Plasma pistols would be capable of melting ceramics, they are killing a space marine.
English

@HashionDiscord @TwinkLit42 A squad of grunts with plasma pistols will tear through a space marine. The Emperor is hella strong this is true, 6 guardians from destiny could kill him.
English

@TwinkLit42 The cosmology is legitimately one of the strongest in fiction, and the emperor is probably if not the strongest character in his tier

@TheCorridor_ @EconReimu Increasing money supply does change the structure of production. It reduces interest making long term investments seem more sound. But this effect is temporary and unsustainable as absent any change in consumer saving behavior all investments created like this are mailinvestments
English

@Z1goter @EconReimu Yes, it still functions as a system as idiotic as it is.
English

@TheCorridor_ @EconReimu Which has caused continuous erosion of purchasing power of money and regular economic recessions.
English

@Z1goter @EconReimu We have been consistently in an expansionary monetary policy since the 1930s most countries with central banks have consistent monetary expansion, they just align it with “economic growth”
English

@TheCorridor_ @EconReimu 1930s is probably the worst failure of monetary expansion ever. It caused the great depression.
English

@Z1goter @EconReimu - Their ability to demand goods which leads enterprising or profit seeking individuals to fill that demand by creating or locating already existing supply.
English

@Z1goter @EconReimu Producing SPECIFIC goods and services makes us as a collective able to live more fulfilling lives. To ensure those goods and services are produced over more frivolous goods or services is through increasing people’s purchasing power -
English

@Z1goter @EconReimu Expansionary monetary policy has been working for the US since the 1930s no? It’s been working for a century, and saw the US rise to the status of global hegemony. I don’t necessarily like it but it does work.
English

@TheCorridor_ @EconReimu It is a chicken and an egg issue. Expansionarg monetary policy, in fact doesn't work, never did and never will. UBI is hard to implement and if you will it will depend on whether or not it replaces other welfare and the size of the payments.
English
The Corridor รีทวีตแล้ว

@Z1goter @EconReimu It’s not a chicken and the egg discussion tho, demand takes primacy over supply, this is why expansionary monetary policy works, and why UBI could theoretically work. Increasing supply doesn’t necessarily increase the standard of living, increasing people’s purchasing power does.
English

@TheCorridor_ @EconReimu This "chicken and egg" discussion isn't really important. Both concepts are interconnected, as I said supply and demand are 2 sides of the same coin. Neither takes primacy over another.
