The Government has announced a €505 million support package following days of fuel protests across the country. This includes a 10c cut to petrol and diesel, along with a 2.4c reduction on green diesel, set to come into effect from midnight Tuesday. The planned carbon tax increase has also been deferred until October, with additional supports for hauliers, farmers and other affected sectors.
