The night my wife almost died (Here’s my true life story) ⬇️ 😢 Two years ago, right after our son’s naming ceremony, we were all in the living room gisting — my wife, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Suddenly, my wife started feeling cold. Her mom rubbed her with hot water… then she went stiff and unresponsive. My mom started stooling from fear. We were all screaming. I had no car that night. A kind neighbor rushed us to the hospital at top speed. Nurses brought a stretcher, and the doctor on duty fought hard to resuscitate her. I was speechless, confused, and scared to death. But God, in His infinite mercy, gave her another chance at life. 🙏 The doctor later blamed me for bringing her home less than a week after her CS. I accepted it. She was admitted for more treatment and observation. That experience changed me forever. Now I cherish every moment we share before it becomes a memory. Life is indeed for rent.

One annoying question that people tend to ask you as you get older is: “When are you getting married? You're getting old o.” Mind you, if you eventually get married, same people will not lift a finger to help you if you run into trouble. They will even mock you. 🙂

Groundnuts don't cause pimples. Groundnuts simply serve as a trigger to anyone who's already prone to having pimples. If someone normally doesn't have pimples, even if they eat all the groundnuts in this world, no pimples will show up. Getting pimples after eating groundnuts is nothing more than an allergic reaction.

It is very easy to GIVE UP. But what is not easy is the conviction to keep on trying against the odds. Sometimes, life throws a lot of challenges your way, but what truly sets you apart is your will and drive to conquer those problems. Believe it or not, every human being has faced one challenge or the other. When you listen to some people talk about their life experiences, it's possible that you will have a rethink about yours. The one thing I personally know about challenges is that they are always temporary. A man can be very poor today and a breakthrough can make him rich tomorrow. All he needs is that tiny spark—a combination of effort, opportunity and chance. But the major issue with a lot of young people is that they give in easily once the going gets tough. They also think life should be a bed of roses. While you struggle everyday, always know that every situation or circumstance has an end. That is also the beauty of life, nothing is permanent. So, keep showing up and something will definitely change.

Yes, I did. Here's the funny story of how I learned I could cut open a sachet water with just my fingertips. It was March 14, 2025. I had just had braces fixed on my teeth the day before. My front teeth that I would normally use to tear into the nylon were too sensitive to touch anything. I tried several times and couldn't endure the pain. Out of frustration, I grabbed a fork and used one of the prongs to pierce the nylon instead. Two days later, a thought crossed my mind: what if I'm somewhere and there's no fork in sight? That was when I decided to try my fingertips. The first attempt stretched the nylon into a long thin string before it finally cut, but with practice, I perfected the skill.

Thank you for this question, Hon. Member. The behaviours you listed (abandoning wives and children for side chicks like the “Uyo Escapee”, joining cults, unprovoked cheating, and beating wives over external drama) are not “silent battles” deserving blanket sympathy. They are often choices that create chaos for others, especially children, while compounding the man’s own problems. Men are a set of people who prioritise the well-being and happiness of their family over external forces.
