I am a dad & have grown up daughters. Would condemn harassment in any of its form. But this particular case is different. Let me explain as narrated to me by someone close who has remained guitarist of a famous Pakistani singer. Both Ali & Meesha were quite close. Such touches which are otherwise odd among common Pakistanis were quite common between both of them. However, that particular day Meesha was having her mood off or was angry on something (reason unknown). Once Ali met, he behaved as they have normally been behaving. Meesha who was already off, felt bad/ offended to Ali’s surprise and from here confrontation started. The only way to minimize/ refrain from such happenings is to follow our religion (applicable to both men & women)

That’s not what anyone is saying. The point is that harassment doesn’t always come with neat, courtroom ready proof. Are women supposed to carry body cameras to be believed? A defamation verdict reflects what could be proven legally, not necessarily the full reality. And in a society where the cost of speaking up for women is this high, it makes little sense to assume any woman would lie and put herself through that. A defamation win is not the same as vindication.
