What is The Keep?

Loving the sunny weather! We’re making the most of it and used some magic paint (water) to practice our phonics this morning!

@EmotionWorksCIC A lot of our children liked to look at the glitter and sequins, it helped us relax through distracting our thoughts, we also though shaking them can help with our angry hands.

This term our @EmotionWorksCIC committee have been tasked with creating #bluecog boxes for every class. Todays job was to create some sensory/glitter jars. Don’t they look fantastic?

We are delighted to announce that CDPS has been awarded our @EmotionWorksCIC Silver award! Amazing work everybody and thank you to all the pupils and staff that have helped us achieve this!

Happy Shrove Tuesday! Some of the boys and girls in The Keep have been working hard to design some beautiful pancakes today whilst discussing how different places around the world celebrate Shrove Tuesday! What do you think of our yummy creations?

Some super valentines crafts going on in The Keep this week. Valentine’s Day is a fantastic time to sit and reflect on who we love and how we can show love to ourselves, our friends and family. how do you show love at Valentine’s Day?

Our @EmotionWorksCIC committee have been busy talking #COGmas2024 today! We were discussing how Christmas can affect us and our emotions and helped create a beautiful cog as tree with interactive boards that members of the school can add to! Merry #COGmas2024 everyone!

It's World Mental Health Day! 🌍💜 It’s a day to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. We all deserve good mental health. 💜

A HUGE thank you to our janitor Mr Orr for putting up our @EmotionWorksCIC cogs. The committee decided on their location last week and don’t they look amazing!

What do your emotions look like? Today we have been investigating what emotions look like and how we can identify them.

This week our @EmotionWorksCIC committee were looking out for blue cog zones in the school and making sure they had blue cogs displayed. We also decided on a home for our giant cog display which we can’t wait to show you!
