Who remembers the 2022 Art Basel? Time flies but during that time: - @gmoneyNFT dropped 9DCC Iteration 2 - @Porsche had a venue there ( before their mint) - Crazy BAYC event in Wynwood - @TheOtherBlock 🔥 And much more!!! Vibes were insane! Just like a 5 months after NFT NYC 2022… BTW .. I recorded @rocsolmiami here, and I met him for the first time Last month in Vegas! Feels like this Year, not many people are coming. What happened?👀

Law joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club after attending @TheOtherBlock '23 in Los Angeles, where meeting Apes in real life solidified his desire to become part of the community. Since then, he has actively contributed to the club, lending a hand at Laughing Ape Comedy Events @LaughingApeMBA, supporting Bored Ape Gazette Live @BoredApeGazette, and serving as a dedicated member of the Welcome Apes @WelcomeApes Committee to greet new members. A standout moment for him was participating in the Dookey Dash Unleashed (DDU) tournament, which marked a major highlight of his time in the club. His Ape has been featured in the Ape Street Gallery by Infi Torem @tinoforbidden , and he continues to foster connections in the community with plans to launch his own creative project this year.

Just got word that our OtherBlock mural at Fun Dimension in Wynwood is being painted over for Art Basel this year. I will always be grateful to @gordongoner and @cryptogarga for sponsoring our mural and supporting our efforts to bring the community together through @theotherblock. History was made 🙏🏼Thank you to everyone who showed us love and support for our @boreapeyc mural. I cleaned up a few tags and got some final photos of it. Much love y'all, we keep it moving 🙏🏼

@GordonGoner Thoughts aligned with the spirit of @TheOtherBlock

Gonna go spend the rest of the day offline and in the sun, but kind of in line with my previous thoughts around uniting the web3 space: Despite some colossal fuck ups this time, Ape Fest still feels like the best IRL web3 experience out there. I had always hoped it would grow into something that included other projects and artist communities in the space, with a ridiculously sick VIP status reserved exclusively for apes, but nice spots for other projects, too, etc. Weirdly, I think by expanding the headcount, it enhances the exclusivity of owning an ape. The scale of it could be massive and a huge re-occurring win for the entire web3 space. The name even still works, because at the end of the day, whether you own a Bored Ape or not, we’re all just apes. Hard to imagine that if 2000+ apes would travel across the world for a 3 day party in Hong Kong that a ton more from the ecosystem wouldn’t want to come party with us, too. Difficulties: - I don’t know if apes would even want this. Definitely runs the risk of diluting the intimate experience, but think this could be mitigated by having sick ape VIP areas. Also massively ups the cache of owning an ape when it’s the focal point of a much broader cultural event. - I don’t know if Yuga would even want this. Literal nightmare from a production perspective. Yuga def not capable of handling alone and outsourcing would cost a fortune, for little return. Even when Yuga outsources production to world class pros, massive fuck ups happen (i.e. - this last fest.) Bandwidth for something like this is currently nil—hard to expect the company to build a world class metaverse and be a world class festival company, on top of everything else. Also it’s hard to make it make sense from a financial perspective, but idk, profitable festivals occur all over the world somehow with sponsors and ticket sales, so how hard could it be? Just a thought for open discussion. Not speaking on behalf of Yuga, just riffing. Very unlikely to happen for the above reasons. If it’s a bad idea, all good: I’m 99% bad ideas.
