If this PSA value grading news is true, I think people are massively underestimating the long term impact on the hobby. Buy cheap slabs now! The floor gets pushed up. Cards we currently think are complete bricks could realistically become $30–40 cards in the future simply because the supply of new PSA copies dries up. Repacking demand is already at all time highs, and if it suddenly costs $80 just to grade a card, people stop submitting anything except obvious grails and high end chases. That removes an enormous amount of low end and mid tier inventory from the future market. People forget a huge percentage of modern PSA 10 populations only exist because bulk grading was cheap.
