RFK Jr. and Theo Von having a raw, real conversation about recovery that hits different. RFK Jr. (43 years sober): “I used to snort cocaine off toilet seats. I’m not scared of a germ. If I don’t go to a meeting every day, this disease will kill me.” Theo Von: “I go to meetings because I forget that people care about me… and that I care about them. It recharges the battery.” They both talked about how meetings kept them going even during COVID — moving from a bank basement to a playhouse that later burned down. No excuses. Just survival and helping others. It’s a powerful reminder that real recovery isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, even when everything else is falling apart. What’s one thing that’s helped you stay grounded through tough times?

Jesus rose from the dead and the first person He went to was His brother who thought He was crazy. Not Peter. Not John. Not the twelve. James. His kid brother. The one who grew up sharing a room with God and didn’t know it. Think about James for a second. His older brother is Jesus. Not “Jesus the Christ.” Not “Jesus the Savior.” Jesus the guy who worked in the carpenter shop and came home smelling like sawdust and sweat. Jesus who snored. Jesus who ate too fast. Jesus who their mother treated different and James never understood why. Because Mary kept her mouth shut. Luke 2:19. She kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Angels showed up at His birth. Shepherds fell on their faces. Wise men brought gold. And Mary told nobody. She just watched her firstborn grow up in a ghetto in Nazareth and kept the secret in her chest like a coal she couldn’t put down. James didn’t know his brother was God. He knew his brother was weird. He knew his mother looked at Jesus different. He knew Joseph moved the whole family to Egypt when they were little and never fully explained why. He knew that one time his parents lost Jesus at the temple and found Him three days later arguing with rabbis like He owned the place. Twelve years old. Already gone. Then Jesus grew up. Worked the shop. Paid the bills. Because Joseph died — the Bible doesn’t say when but Joseph disappears from the story — and in Jewish custom the eldest son takes over. So Jesus wasn’t posing for paintings in that carpenter shop. He was feeding His family. Putting bread on the table for His mom and His brothers and sisters in a town so poor Nathanael said “can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Then one day He left. Walked away from the shop. Walked away from the family. Left James holding the hammer and the bills and the responsibility for a widowed mother. James was pissed. Mark 3:21. His own family went to collect Him because they said He was out of His mind. That’s James. That’s the brothers. Showing up to bring the crazy one home before He embarrasses the family worse. John 7:5. His brethren did not believe in Him. His own blood. Ate dinner with Him for thirty years. Didn’t believe. Then Wednesday happened. The brother James thought was insane got arrested at night by temple guards. Got beaten until His face swelled shut. Got whipped until His back looked like raw meat. Got nailed to wood and hung up on a garbage hill outside the city. And James had to stand somewhere — maybe in the crowd, maybe at home, maybe hearing it secondhand — and process the fact that the brother he called crazy just died like a criminal. Three days and nights of silence. Three days of James sitting with the guilt of every eye roll. Every argument. Every time he told people “I don’t know what’s wrong with Him.” Every time he showed up to drag Jesus home because He was embarrassing the family name. Then Sunday morning. Jesus rose. Conquered death. Walked out of the tomb. And He went to James. 1 Corinthians 15:7. He appeared to James. Not in a crowd. Not at a distance. He went to His brother. The one who didn’t believe. The one who thought He was crazy. The one who was pissed that He left the family behind. He showed up and let James see the holes in His hands. Matthew 28:10. Go tell my brethren. Not my servants. Not my followers. My brethren. John 20:17. My Father and your Father. My God and your God. He rose to the highest position in the universe and His vocabulary didn’t change. Most men get a promotion and stop returning phone calls. Jesus conquered death and called the brother who doubted Him family. James went from “He’s out of His mind” to leading the church in Jerusalem. James went from trying to drag Jesus home to writing a book of the Bible. James went from skeptic to martyr. They threw him off the temple wall and when he survived the fall they beat him to death with a club. He died for the brother he once thought was insane. That’s what happened when Jesus showed up after the resurrection and said brother. One word changed everything. He’s not calling you servant today. He’s not calling you subject. He’s calling you what He called James. Brother. The same James who didn’t believe. Who rolled his eyes. Who showed up to take Him home. Who sat in the dark for three days choking on regret. He went to THAT guy first. If He went to James, He’ll come to you.

Millennial women bought the girlboss bullshit. And now how many of them are in their 40s, childless and miserable. Gen Z may turn this culture around. All we need now is an economy that enables a family to thrive on one income.

Gwen Stefani opens up about the “miracle” that brought her back to God. “I was desperate… I really wanted to have another baby. And I couldn’t. And I was old.” “And then my oldest boy, Kingston, comes up to me. He said: ‘Mommy, I really want you to have a baby.’” “I said: ‘I’m sorry, your mommy’s too old to have a baby now.’” “And he just, out of his own… he was like, ‘Please God, let my mom have a baby.’” “And I just was sitting there going, ‘Wow, look at my little boy. He’s praying for me.’ And he was doing it every night.” “And I never asked him to do that. I never taught him that, really.” “Four weeks later, I was pregnant with Apollo, who I had at 44 years old. Naturally. Totally a full-on gift. And that was the first miracle.”

Understand this: The movies and shows about the crucifixion have been tame when compared to what He actually went through. Even The Passion Of The Christ was forced to hold back a little in order to avoid an X rating. Crucifixion was, and still is, arguably the most excruciating death someone can experience. The night before in Gethsemane, He was sweating blood. This is known as hematidrosis. This would have caused His skin to become extremely sensitive, thus making the beatings to come even worse. The fear He felt was the beginning of His feeling the weight of our iniquities being laid on Him. Yet - in this moment, He didn’t demand that the Father take it from Him. He only asked for the cup to pass Him over if it was within the Father’s will. Up next came the Cat of Nine Tails, or a Roman Flagrum. This was a weapon with long leather “tails”, each embedded with sharp bones and metal. He was flogged 39 times as Jewish law mandated “40 minus one”, because 40 was said to kill a man. This flogging wasn’t like being punished by your father’s leather belt. Every strike tore flesh, every strike exposed muscle. Every strike exposed nerve endings. Every strike tore flesh to the bone. This would be like getting struck with razor blades over and over again, leading to hypovolemic shock from blood loss. Oh, and the crown of thorns? These weren’t rose thorns. These were thorns which were 2-3 inches long. Beaten into his skull. These thorns would have pierced his skull, tripping the trigeminal nerve, thus causing unimaginable pain and even more blood loss from the dozens of head wounds. At this point, extreme nausea and dizziness would begin to set in. What came next? Carrying the cross. Which weighed around 300lbs. This would be like carrying two full kegs on your back. Splinters and wood grating against the open flesh on His back. And He had to carry it 650 yards, or close to a half mile. Imagine carrying a log on your back after being skinned alive. Up next? He was nailed to the cross with spikes 5-7in in length. Piercing His wrists - this no doubt pierced the median nerve, causing extreme burning sensations up and down His arms. A spike was driven through his ankles - severing nerves and tendons. This would have felt like standing on broken glass every time He pushed Himself up in order to breathe. He suffered for 6 hours. His chest muscles collapsing, making every single breath a fight for life. His shoulders were dislocated, His arms stretching unnaturally long. His heart was struggling to pump blood. He was extremely dehydrated, His lips cracking. His heart more than likely literally ruptured from the stress. And on top of all of that, He had to feel a separation with the Father for a period of time in order to REALLY bear the weight of our sin. He took up this burden for ALL sin before Him, and ALL sin which came after Him. HE DID IT ALL FOR US. To free us. To defeat sin. To give us a pathway to the Kingdom. Every sin we commit is exactly why He had to do it. And the real kicker? He knew what was coming when He rode into Jerusalem … and He didn’t turn around. He kept going. For us.

CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT, I turn 38 this year and I have realised , as a man, no one cares about you. Not your wife. Not your family. Not your friends. Not your workmates. Nobody. People act like they care, but deep down, they don't. You are on your own. Always on your own.

The Biblical Man

John leaned on Jesus' chest at supper. Stayed at the cross when every other man ran. Outlived all twelve. Beaten. Boiled in oil. Exiled to a rock in the ocean. Thirty years later, Jesus appeared to him in glory. John didn't worship. Didn't kneel. Didn't lift his hands. He fell at His feet as dead. As dead. Peter did the same thing. After the miraculous catch — boats sinking under the weight — Peter didn't celebrate. He said: "Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord." Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up. Seraphim crying, Holy. And the prophet said: "Woe is me! for I am undone." Job argued with God for 37 chapters. Then God showed up. Job said: "I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes." Every tough man in the Bible who saw the living God had the same reaction. Not awe. Not worship. Collapse. Now look at us. Walking into church with coffee. Nodding at sermons. Shaking hands in the lobby. Forgetting it by Tuesday. We think we've been in God's presence. If you'd been in God's presence, you wouldn't walk out the same way you walked in. The men who saw Him couldn't stand. We can barely be bothered to sit. When Jesus returns, there will be no more heroes. No more performers. The hero and the villain will stand equal at last — empty-handed, bare-faced, finally free to be merely beloved...

It literally takes 1 brain cell to understand the Tiger saga He went from the most famous athlete in the world The greatest golfer of all time To hardly being able to walk To not being able to play competitively He was also outed in the worst way possible as a serial cheater…costing him and blowing up his HOF icon legend status and his picture perfect family… all within the same decade He endured countless surgeries, operations, fusing, herniating, slipped, permanent damage to his spine and knee and ankle … while managing a reputational assassination His body is stitched together with duct tape and Vicodin and he’s mentally, physically and emotionally broken beyond repair And so yes it’s obvious he takes pills to ease the pain, to make it just through the day, to hang on by a thread to the only life he’s ever known But like Reznor and Cash sang, it all makes perfect sense …. “I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything” Rest easy Tiger you were the greatest It’s time to walk away and just be a Dad

I am an athletic almost 43 year old dad of 3 that hasn't played competitive basketball since high school. I was an all-conference point guard in high school 25 years ago. I'm WAY past my prime. I would guarantee if I trained nothing but basketball for 6 months I would dominate the WNBA. Average 20-10 a game at least! If I trained 6 months I couldn't make a division 3 college men's team roster. It's two completely different games. Serena Williams is the GOAT of women's tennis & said she couldn't score a point on the 500th ranked man. If a person claims "female bodies are just as strong, fast, & capable as men's bodies" & ignores THE SCIENCE I discard their views on everything else. They are either a complete moron or lying. Either way they aren't to be trusted with anything. I'm honestly hoping some D-3 guy says tomorrow he's a girl & goes & wins MVP of the WNBA & everyone can say how brave, wonderful, & progressive it is. It's time to stop being nice & tolerant with this nonsense & just call it out. Not one sane person actually believes this. It's why we have mens & women's divisions.
Riley Gaines@Riley_Gaines_

I committed suicide in 2015. I drank a 5th of whiskey, a bottle of wine while downing 30 serequel pills and 20 clonopin pills. While I was waiting to pass out and never wake up, a voice told me "Michael. call 911" I was almost incoherent in my thoughts. The voice was insistent now "Michael, call 911". I never talked to myself in the 3rd person. It was weird. I looked at my hand. The phone was there. I was never a phone person. I don't know where it came from. I dialed 911. I explained to the person I had done the pills and drink. She asked if I could make it to the door. I said I could. I walked to the door and went outside. There was a police car driving up at that same moment. It was as if it was meant to happen. He asked for my ID. I gave it to him. Then I was gone. I remember a little about being transferred to an ambulance. I woke in a hospital bed 2 days later. I was happy. I could not understand it. I was happy. I felt good. I was telling jokes and having a good talk with the hospital staff as they were getting me ready to be transferred to a mental hospital. I finally understood how the Lord saved me. I have never been the same, since. I can't explain it. I was saved and saved. I am not worthy but I was spared hell. I got healthy. I went from 250lbs to 170. I read my bible. My non military PTSD was a thing I could deal with without pharma. I now take no meds. So, here I am, alone, no need for social appeasement. Only to gather the lay of the land and make dumb posts, sometimes. May you all be blessed as I have been. Thank you, Lord.
