@ampersandaz @Leitner2Brian @670TheScore Steele having a better record, WHIP, BB/9 ratio, and ERA+ might be enough to win the Cy Young over Snell, especially with ERA and innings pitched being a virtual tie. Snell being in a pitcher friendly park might hurt him when it comes time to vote.

@AlScott1998 Justin Steele ERA+: 177 Blake Snell ERA+: 163 I wouldn’t say a large margin. I’m not sure you could even say best. Especially with one pitcher leading his team to a potential division title, while the other is 12-9 on a sub .500 team. It’ll be a good race either way!

Blake Snell has not only been statistically the best pitcher in the NL this season, he’s been the best by a large margin. Arguing that a guy with a 3.56 ERA has been better because he walks less is absurd.

The Angels will always regret not trading Shohei Ohtani at the deadline this year. The return would’ve been massive. One of the most head scratching moves by a terribly ran org. On another note this is awful for baseball & his free agency market. Gonna be an interesting winter.

Shohei Ohtani has a tear in his UCL, Angels GM Perry Minasian told reporters in Anaheim. It is still unclear, he said, whether it will require surgery. He will not pitch the rest of the season. Ohtani had Tommy John surgery in October 2018. The elbow continues to be the worst.
