@Scarecrohh For thiefs (or their respective promotions), it'd be a tough choice between Yunaka, Zelkov, Jaffar, and Volke tbh! I love all 4 of those characters so so so much Merrin also doesn't feel like she necessarily fits in with the thief/dagger theme but she'd also be there tbqh

Who is your favorite thief/dagger unit in Fire Emblem? I'll start. Mine is Zelkov for many *reasons* I can go on for months but for now I'll just give one. His design is quite unique to him given that you probably still forgot to end his turn because of it.

Since Engage is getting a lot of buzz on the timeline again I'll say this... You guys really should all play Engage on Maddening. Top three gameplay experience sitting right there.

@FreyEmblem Engage is essentially the 30th anniversary game, so it's 100% a love letter to the series imo! The story is simple and campy, sure, but virtually everything that happens harkens back to previous story elements done in other games so i don't mind it whatsoever

Is engage pandering to the fans or is it a love letter to the series? That’s something I wonder sometimes, like at first glance I say it’s trying too hard to pander, but a part of me also thinks it does that to be appreciative! I want to lean towards the latter because it’s nice!

@arvis4prez I lowkey feel like I've seen people refer to Frederick as an oifey but nah that's fair, I just remember a decent amount of talk about an oifey archetype years ago tbh and it stuck in my brain

@TheaRetically_ How many oifeys even are there cus all I ever hear as examples is Seth and Titania two characters can’t be one archetype Oifeys aren’t real 😭

Hot take: I think Seth is one of the worst Jagens in the series. If we go by the archetype’s function, they are designed to soak up hits for your frail starting units and set up kills for them. Seth can soak up hits, but bro one rounds everything with an iron sword and steals exp

@TheaRetically_ Its still been forever since I touched engage but Im pretty sure you can go in whenever and they scale based off where you are in the story?

When is it even a good time to do the dlc paralogues? I feel like my characters are already kinda close to being overleveled at this point

@olivecider776 This is why I struggle to like Corrin, I think they have so much potential as a lord with their trauma but also it's Fates and they barely engage with it if at all

trying to engage with fates' lore and story is genuinely so hard, like it's actively fighting against me enjoying it. let me like you oh my fucking god

I guess I could use the dlc units and some of my under leveled units as well but the divine paralogues are in a weird position for me idk
