@ccyberzoid It's a programming language that is used in complex statistics, data analytics and visualisation just like python the only difference is that R has a single domain, with focus being that of dealing with data while python is general purpose
English

Can anyone explain to me what is R? All i saw about it was that it's a programming language that's used in statistics
CyberZoid@ccyberzoid
Guys what's R? I've seen that it's a programming language that's based on statistics (or at least i think so) What is it about?

@DabereNnamani Why is the check out longer, is the cashier slow this keeping customers waiting or customers choose the checkout because of better service delivery, or the ckeckpoints all work on a certain product category ( then the where line is always long has more customers)?

@Gamingtronium 😂😂 bro thought his computer could be a server
English

@officialladi_T You know what I've learnt from your query, that SELECT TOP 10* is correct in almost rediculed you😂😂 in other databases we used to LIMIT

Day 4 of learning SQL
I almost skipped practice today, but I reminded myself that practicing for a few minutes is better than not practicing at all.
For practice, I'm using Microsoft SQL Server with a retail supermarket dataset.
One thing I realized today is that SQL isn't just about memorizing syntax.
The real challenge is knowing when and how to use each query to answer a business question.

@ccyberzoid I learned it in C, never knew it also existed in python😂
Good work bro,📍Tip pythons power is in its Libraries, there are many of them depending on what you want to focus on
English

@TheeAnalyst_ke Yeah it is! Instead of using the keyword switch it's just called match though

Hey Everyone, I also managed to finish Week 1's tasks of CS50 Python by @Harvard! These were quite good I felt like being challenged with my programming skills and hope to see more with Week 2.

@dev_awizee Another optimisation would be calling only columns you need if the table has many columns, this reduces execution time and scales safely
English

SQL Tip that changed everything for me:
Always start with SELECT * FROM your_table LIMIT 10;
before writing long queries
Saves you from running expensive mistakes on big company data
Who else has been burned before?
Drop a 🔥 if yes

@Femiforge It's called a critical activity, if it's not done you building a noise instead of insights
English

@the_codewala Lee chose it for people to identify urls
English

@0xNyrox I've never used meta base, but you could try streamlit, power bi is a drag and drop but streamlit you actually build it from scratch with python code, it's a good one✨

Someone asked me yesterday if I've used a data visualization tool called "Metabase".
I haven't, but it got me curious.
Has anyone here used it? How does it compare to tools like Power BI or Tableau?
Also, apart from the popular ones, what other visualization tools do you use or recommend?
Always looking to learn from everyone
Python God Ug🇺🇬@Lone_python
@0xNyrox hi, Have you ever used a visualization tool called (Metabase)??
English

@DabereNnamani People forget what problem am I solving and ask themselves what can my dashboard contain
English

5 questions every analyst should ask before touching a dataset.
Most analysis goes wrong before a single formula is written.
It starts with asking the wrong questions.
Here are 5 questions I always recommend:
• What problem am I solving?
If you can’t clearly define the problem, your analysis won’t have direction.
Data without purpose is just noise.
