After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to wind down Basejump as a venture-backed company. We saw strong early growth, but monetization and fundraising in the current gaming market didn’t come together fast enough to continue responsibly. Broadside will remain live in a slimmed-down, free-to-play form, with OG assets permanently stored on Arweave. Basejump accounts will stay live until March 1 so users can download VRMs created on the platform. Grateful to everyone who supported the project, and proud of what we built. Broadside lives on ☠️⬆️

Every gate tightens access. And artists are once again expected to “adapt” with fewer options, less support, and more barriers. The uncomfortable truth? The problem isn’t creativity. It’s infrastructure. If platforms keep disappearing while entry points stay narrow, artists won’t stop creating, they’ll just be pushed elsewhere. The question is: who’s actually building for the long term, and who’s just waiting out the market?

$OMI hanging around to lift up, soon. That is my guess. Noone knows of course. Can go the opposite as well. But for me, due to recent changes I'm too afraid to sell my $OMI. For me it's a hot spot where I just watch and do nothing. #VEVE
