Every single person who picked up an AI filmmaking tool this year and actually made something is further ahead than 99% of the people with opinions about it.
You made a thing. You told a story. You learned a new tool and bent it to your will. While everybody else was arguing about whether AI is “real art,” you were in the trenches figuring out prompts and pipelines and frame rates.
I don’t care what some guy on Reddit thinks about your workflow. I don’t care what a film school professor who hasn’t shipped anything in 15 years thinks about your creative process. Those people don’t build. They comment.
You are literally the first generation of filmmakers who can go from idea to screen without asking anyone’s permission.
No studio. No gatekeeper. No six-figure budget standing between you and your story. That has never existed before in the history of filmmaking.
So keep making things. Keep shipping. Keep getting better. The people who hate what you’re doing will eventually be working for the people who didn’t stop.

@CrimsonDesert_ You had years and hopefully a final QA cycle to do this "audit" and then when putting it on the Steam store, someone had to choose to tell them that there was no genAI involved to get it on the market.
You then also waited for days to address a very loud issue.

We would like to address questions regarding the use of AI in Crimson Desert.
During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction.
Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it.
We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency.
We sincerely apologize for these oversights.
We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

As the fuel crisis is getting even worse, One Nation wanted to debate our Bill that would establish a national gas reserve. Our gas can be even be converted to petrol in an emergency. The fact that almost all of Australia’s gas is exported overseas for minimal tax is criminal. We only get two times a year to debate our own Bills. Yet Labor and the Greens teamed up to block One Nation from debating our own bill. The government is saying they might do a reserve someday, but only for new contracts. That means billions in gas would keep getting shipped overseas and sold for cheaper than Australians can buy it for. Labor and the Greens were on the side of greedy, tax-dodging foreign gas companies against One Nation. Our Bill’s name is the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Amendment (Domestic Reserve) Bill 2026. We want a reserve so Australians get first priority for our gas!
