2 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV) "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth." The unwavering power and integrity of truth is the foundation of eternal freedom. It serves as a reminder that our actions, influence, or efforts cannot prevail against the truth.

When a road like Jerome Ekwere Street (Redemption Radio Road) is officially marked “EXECUTED” while critical components like drainage remain incomplete as of April 23, 2026, it creates a credibility gap between documentation and lived reality. Road infrastructure is not just about asphalt; drainage is the quiet backbone. Without completed gutters, the road is exposed to erosion, flooding, and premature deterioration, turning what should be a long-term asset into a short-term patchwork. This isn’t about dismissing the effort made since 2023. It’s about tightening the governance loop: Execution should mean completion, not near-completion Project status should reflect on-ground reality, not paperwork milestones. Public reporting must align with physical delivery A constructive path forward is simple and achievable: Provide a clear update on the drainage component Set a definitive completion timeline. Ensure final delivery meets durability standards Government doesn’t lose face by finishing a project, it strengthens trust by doing so transparently and completely. The road has begun its journey. It deserves to be finished properly.

Convert your birthday gifts to uplifting the downtrodden, Gov. @_PastorUmoEno advises A day ahead of his 62nd birthday, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has advised those who may wish to celebrate his birthday with gifts and souvenirs to convert such into uplifting the lives of the downtrodden and supporting orphanages. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Gov. Eno thanked the people of the State for their continuous support and prayers. The statement read thus: “Tomorrow, April 24, 2026, it has pleased God to make me witness another year. “Let me thank the people of Akwa Ibom State for your continuous prayers and support. “To those who may desire or wish to express their love on the occasion of my birthday through gifts, I thank them for their kind thoughts and sentiments, but no personal gifts will be received. “However, as in previous moments, I ask that they convert such gifts to touching the lives of the poor, the downtrodden, widows, and those on the far reaches of the ladder of life, or to orphanages of their choice. “Please take pictures and videos of such show of compassion and send them to me through my Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, or my Chief Photographer, Idara Adiakpan. “The essence of our lives is to impact and touch the lives of the less -privileged and give them a reason to be hopeful. The occasion of my birthday represents one of such moments. “May God bless our State and our people as we continue our work to usher in the Golden Era of our growth and development.”

Okay that's fine! But when the numbers aren’t fully laid out, the public will naturally do “rough work” with what’s available. Seeing the process is good, understanding the full framework is even better. No one is demanding universality; only clarity, consistency, and a measurable path of expansion, which is not suicidal to advance for, because in any case it will still benefit our people and that’s what turns policy gestures into durable governance impact. Well Done!

@Three_Leg_Bird @_PastorUmoEno @aksgovt Points to note: This scheme was only open to staff from level 1-8. Housing Mortgaging facilities exists for civil servants within the civil service. They can choose to make use of those facilities. This is not a continuous effort. It is fiscally impossible to house all of them

Commendation to Governor @_PastorUmoEno and @aksgovt for expanding the free housing scheme to 175 civil servants. Initiatives like this reflect a deliberate effort to improve workers’ welfare and should be acknowledged. However, context matters. With a verified workforce of about 45,984 public servants as of January 2025, the 175 beneficiaries represent a very small fraction of the total workforce. This raises important questions: How scalable is this intervention? What is the long-term plan of government to accommodate more workers? And how transparent and verifiable is the lottery process used for selection? I must commend, this move, while the gesture is commendable, the true measure of impact will lie in expanding access, ensuring fairness, and sustaining the programme over time.

JUST IN: Governor @_PastorUmoEno has increased the number of civil servants who benefited from the FREE housing scheme to 175 workers. The new home owners were selected through a transparent lottery process. This is among the efforts he is making towards state workers welfare.
