I get why Chase Silseth was put in the game (he already got warm, a potent top of ATL’s lineup was due up and a thin LAA bullpen), but the Angels gotta stop overworking him. This was his 7 game of 11 team games (12 days), he was clearly gassed and Romano got forced in. Rough.

That is the definition of an ace-level outing from José Soriano. The bullpen is taxed, and you give your team 8 innings of 1-run baseball.

The Astros lineup is very RHH heavy, and there are two specific moves I liked by Kurt: 1) He left Zeferjahn in for a 2nd inning. He cruised through his first inning, so just let him continue to cook. 2) Going to Bachman over Pomeranz in the 8th vs. 3 RHHs. Matchup > set roles.
