Steve died from too much purple

Also the pickaxe texture seems to have disappeared into the void (along with the other handheld item textures used in the short).

This isn't the shot's original angle either, just what I thought looked good for this little behind the scenes bit.

Found a part of the original intro to my "Diamond Thief" short. It was seemingly unfinished and ended up being scrapped in favor of Steve already being on the way out of the cave at the start. #blender #minecraft #animation #bts

Fun fact, this was also my first & only robot, as well as the last project I made in Cinema 4D, after having used it for 16 years, before switching to Blender 4 years ago. I love this little dude 🥰🤖☔ (I've since lost him to a hard drive failure)
